I love this place. Staff is incredibly lovely, food is impeccable and well worth the money. Really nice atmosphere and great location. I regularly recommend it to people I know! In my opinion it’s the best roast in Brighton and Hove.

In Brighton for the weekend (first of many) and decided to find myself a local. Found on first attempt - absolutely great pub! Staff are great and the locals chatty an md welcoming. Haven't eaten but I will - the food smells fantastic.

Excellent roast dinner, albeit let down by the substandard Yorkshire pudding. It looked great, the taste left a lot to be desired. The pork and crackling however was out of this world. Sorry vegans. Great space, friendly and attentive staff. Work in those yorkshires and it'll be perfect.

Came here for Sunday roast this week. Wow! I'm not one for writing reviews usually but couldn't not this time. One of the best roasts we've ever had. Excellent quality produce very well cooked, yummy yorkie and gravy. Huge portion but not off putting in any way. We were even asked how we'd like our beef cooked. That's never happened before! And it was perfect. Staff are always lovely here. Roast a little bit more expensive than most but worth every penny for sure. I wish I'd taken a photo but was too keen to get stuck in and forgot. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you very much for squeezing us in around 13:30 on Sunday. So appreciated and really enjoyed the Guinness & Campari Spritz. The roasts (rib beef & nut-roasts) were outstanding both in terms of quantity & quality. Great place & thanks again, Cliff & Lauraine.

A really lovely pub. Had Sunday lunch here for Father’s Day, what a treat, everything on the plate tasted amazing! Decent portion too. Highly recommend.
