I called this place last minute for a late Valentines meal! Despite being fully booked online they managed to squeeze us in! It was a squeeze at all...we were on the counter with plenty of space watching the staff make some of the fantastic meals they serve! I went in wanting a main - steak but got quickly side tracked by the amazing tapas! We had three dishes each (more than enough) and they were a taste sensation!! Especially loved the fresh scallops and beer! We had a Malbec which was perfect & one of the biggest and best sticky toffee puddings going! Well worth the money.
Went for my birthday and loved everything about this place. It’s very rare that I eat out and am blown away but these guys exceeded my expectations. We were made so welcome and every dish was outstanding. Great food, gorgeous wine and lovely staff. My new favourite place to eat out!
You don’t need to read the waffle I’m about to spew, just know this place is incredible and you should go. Full stop.
But for a little more detail…
Authentic and actually good tapas is hard to find nowadays, but Market is both those things and much more. It’s Spanish in its roots, with the menu clearly focusing on that with Iberico cold cuts, a great selection of wine, a love for seafood and great sauces, but they’re not scared of a little influence. We’re talking lamb and labneh for a little Middle Eastern twist and of course the mighty spanishmisu crossing the boarders into Italy. The atmosphere is buzzing, with bar tenders lively and ready for a chat, and making sitting at the bar a fun experience. The food is to match as well, shoutout to the steak which was gorgeous with the bone marrow chimichurri and the goats cheese churros, WOW!
It was a fab night and its rides the line between special occasion treat and just a great regular spot for a bit to eat. Might have to make up a few excuses to go eh!
Cheers guys,
Was amazing!
I love the Market, I have eaten there so many times but it never disappoints. The service is friendly and the atmosphere always fun. The food of course is the main event and is out of this world. You must try the goats cheese churros and the broccoli but if I'm honest it doesn't matter what you have it will all be delicious
My partner and I had the best Sunday afternoon at Market. The margaritas were incredible, as were the goat cheese churros, the smoked cashew croquettes, the gambas pil pil were the best prawns I’ve ever had. So juicy, flavourful just 10000/100. Ant, Josh, Max and Pav were the absolute best. Will come back here literally tomorrow. Highly recommend.
Incredible home made food served by friendly staff! Sat on the bar where the servers were happy to have a chat with you, good atmosphere in the rest of the restaurant. Perfect for a date night and not too expensive! Highly recommend
Absolutely amazing as always. I took my family to market restaurant, which would have been my 6th time back. We tried multiple dishes from their special menu and they were fantastic, my favourite being the wagyu tartare.
I believe this to be one of brightons best restaurants due to them consistently offering high quality food with brilliant service.
I love this restaurant! 1) Decor is outstanding! Extremely creative and stylish. 2) Staff. They are all of the “cool” ilk, but super friendly and helpful. Special shout out to the blonde manager. He really is an asset! The chefs behind the bar look great too. 3) The food (most importantly). This is so delicious. The churros, the incredible padron peppers, broccoli (unbelievable), beef and pork, oh and the aubergine. I thought I might die from the deliciousness of the cheesecake. In short, you simply must go!
A really fun night, I first thought when we got there that sitting on the corner by the door would not be a good place but I was wrong! The food was amazing and authentic. The staff were friendly and clearly had a a passion for their work and the food they were serving. I loved the stone baked sea bass, rosemary potatoes and chorizo dish the best.
The food here is consistently delicious. The staff are welcoming and friendly but not over the top. The menu has a good selection of dishes with some specials. I keep coming back for the goats cheese churros, the sauce on the prawns is to die for and leave room for the basque cheesecake.
Last night we visited for the first time. The whole time we were amazed. Staff super friendly and attentive. They all were checking up on us. The music was really good. The food was amazing. The cocktail was something special. An awesome place with a really special vibe.
