The main bar is a cosy place serving a good selection of drinks and food. There's a larger restaurant and hall for bigger groups or parties.

Went for a big birthday meal and had 11 in our party. The waitress was very helpful throughout our evening and food was of a high standard. This is a great pub I’ve been visiting since a kid and just love the atmosphere of this place. (They have one of the best Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had)

We all really enjoyed both courses and found the service to be spot on, attentive without over bearing. The ambience was great too, music at just the right level to be enjoyed without interfering with conversation.

Friendly staff and a beautiful Manor house. The vegan nut roast was pretty good, and they had a number of other vegan options. Various items from the menu were not available, and they did not have tomato juice, but overall a good experience. Would definitely recommend.

My friend’s fish and chips were one of the best he’s ever had. I had the fish pie which was disappointing. Our wives both had the sweet potato curry which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Venue is really nice, we were seated very quickly. Bar and waitresses staff were very welcoming. The food was filling, a good choice on the menu. Desserts were huge! Thank you for a nice evening

Lovely old manor house. Burger n pie both excellent, great service, good selection of drinks, review updated Feb 23 :) Burger still awesome Oct23. Also, Sunday lunch is really good imo 👍

Brilliant service and afforded the privacy for a wake/celebration of a life. All in all it felt like a celebration.
There was plenty of parking for everyone and if there had been over spill there was plenty of parking on the road.
The facilities were clean and the staff attention was quick, friendly, efficient & non-intrusive.
There was plenty of food, it catered for both carnivores and herbivores and I'm told they had gone above and beyond what was expected. I was too full to have any of the delicious cake that was brought out.

A beautiful old building that provides excellent service and beautiful spacious beer garden. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff that work hard to please.
Beer is perfect and staff happy to bring it out to the garden if you wish to spend time there.
Only draw back is the recent modernisation of the bar area and the overpriced and superficial nouvelle cuisine style menu is not in keeping with the character of this listed building.
