Management must have read the other comments as I've just had a meal here and the quality was excellent.

Fabulous haddock & cod + lovely big cut chips. Very clean, lovely staff, big portions (we both had medium fish & chips) which were too much even for me ! Would highly recommend.
Just looking for some lunch when I noticed Bankers. Checking the menu I saw that they had a special Senior Citizen's Fish and Chips lunch with a drink for £5.95.
I ordered the meal having shown my Senior Rail Card to prove my age.
The restaurant had a good, friendly atmosphere and I enjoyed people watching as I waited. Not for long either.
When my meal arrived I was amazed by the size and quality of the portions. Tartar cause at the table, what more could I ask?
I really enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend the very varied menu.
I've regularly visited Bankers since they've opened and enjoy both takeaway and eating in. It's good, reliable fish and chips - there are also very tasty non traditional options, especially their Thai veggie burger.
What I most like about Bankers is the fact you can eat in. It is a casual vibe rather than a restaurant but if you sit at the back away from the queue, it's still really pleasant to have your food and drink brought to you. If it's busy, I've sometimes noticed tables not always cleared but staff have then always tidied once they notice/come over. For an eat-in takeaway, it works really well. Tasty fish & chips without the washing up!

3 haddock and chips and 1 cod and chips for less than 30 quid. Great food and decent price. Onion vinegar as well. Hearty english grub

Sadly often by the time it arrives via delivery service it’s cold but if you collect your self is as hot as it was when collected priced reasonable
