Been here on several occasions, never had a bad meal ,we were celebrating my son getting his new teaching position and we couldn't have picked a better place , lovely place with brilliant and helpful staff . See you soon . XxX
We take my grandma every month for lunch when we come over to visit her. The food is always great and this time there was even more choice with the specials board. We all had a lovely meal: I had the pork fillet stuffed with black pudding and wrapping in Parma ham, my grandma had her favourite lasagna and my partner had the Guinness and steak suet pudding off the specials board. I am a gin drinker and the choice of gin is fantastic, I had a lovely rhubarb gin and slim line tonic with fruit. Also, the staff are very friendly and attentive and it has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning again in the near future.
Been here a few times now and really enjoy it! The food is delish and the staff are super lovely! Had a mixture of dishes and over 3 visits and all have been gorgeous.
Lovely pub with really nice interior. Feels very welcoming and the staff were quick to get us seated. We pre booked but was unaware we'd be bringing our baby in her pram and they offered us the choice to pick where we sat that would be best suited for us and the pram. Food was gorgeous, I had the brie wedge for starters and the scan house buttermilk chicken burger. The brie wedge was honestly unreal how good it was and so was the burger. Apart from the chicken itself, towards the centre if the burger it was quite tough but was still very enjoyable. Prices was fair for what you get and the staff was just amazing. The 2 ladies that served us was very friendly and loved have a chat about our baby and exchanging stories about themselves and their experience with parenthood. Only other downside was no drinks menu BUT the ladies reeled off what they had at the bar when we asked. All in all, great pub and grub, great staff and the view from the long wi Dow where we sat of the valley ahead was just beautiful. Definitely recommend!!!
Very nice little place .
Food was lovely
Staff was lovely .

Nice surrounding villages to have a wonder round
A very welcoming pub in a lovely location at the top of a large hill. Tasty food and friendly staff, we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!
Visited for a pub meal with friends. Good food (you cannot beat a proper steak pie, none of this silly puff pastry on top of a microwaved dish) and service.
Very warm and friendly pub which serves a few real ales. The food menu is superb ant caters for all tastes. The tapas menu available on select nights is amazing.
Becareful the traditional large fish and chips menu is like ordering a whale.
Just wish we didn't live so far away as this would become our local.
Fabulous local pub! Great range of beers on tap. Extensive menu and does a delicious Sunday lunch. Definitely worth a return visit.
Incredibly cosy and atmospheric country pub.
Fantastic food-homemade. Great menu selection and mouth-watering specials.
Pretty much made my way through the extensive speciality Gins, I'm there so often. But they're so delicious I can't help it, 😍.
Cask ales and all the regulars you'd expect, but done REALLY well
But ey, up!
Dont just take my word for it, have a try for yourself. 😊
Lovely Atmosphere , Dog friendly.
Great food. Very pleasant staff 5 *****
Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner, the service is second to none and all comfortably priced. Gravy could do with an upgrade but that's it, the wife had steak pie which was epic, I had the mixed roast dinner, everything was most enjoyable, beware the starters, they're bigger than you may expect, a bit more sourdough toast and we could have shared the gorgeous pate. We will visit again.
