after starters wife had pollo de creme and i had carabrese pizza which was a spicy meaty pizza with rocket and a cheesy type dressing and i swear to god i have never ever in my 51 years on planet earth enjoyed a pizza so much it was untrue wow and i had a taste of ny wifes meal and was equally blown away. Fabulous busy staff but will always speak and answer any questions. The new decor is top notch too well done

Supposedly the best Italian Restaurant in Huddersfied - may be even West Yorkshire to a greater extent!! been there just once upon hearing good reviews from my office colleagues and seniors. Realized all those reviews were for non-vegetarian items and i being a veggie - vegan to some extent, honestly, did not feel that excited about this place - having said that - the food i had was really good but i was expecting some X factor which i think i did not get - may be if i make a couple of more visits i would be able to better review. But as for now, 3.5/5 for the food and 5/5 for the staff - courteous..Da Sandro - Visitare di nuovo :)
Best Italian food for miles. Da Sandro serves the best authentic Italian food for miles around - I've never eaten better outside Italy. You can't book and it can get busy (what good restaurant doesn't?) but it is worth the wait. The lasagna is outstanding but it's always worth trying the daily specials. It's not cheap, but you can keep the price down by sticking to the house wine, which is very good indeed.
Not cheap, but really really nice food and good service. Very family styled due to the regar outbursts of 'happy birthday'
This has been around for many years, excellent food, amazing service. Would deffently recomend it!
Been going here for as long as I can remember and never had a bad dish of food!
I generally have the stuffed mushrooms to start and then the Steak Dolcelatte which is superb and highly recommended!

Lovely meal. This is an authentic independent Italian that works hard to satisfy the customer. The food is very good quality. My ribs were a touch cool as if left too long on the side, great flavours though and the meat fell off the bone. I had a seafood pizza that was very good too.
Fantastic service and very tasty food and drinks. What more could you ask? I was pleasantly surprised. It did seem busy on a Saturday lunchtime so bear that in mind, you may be disappointed if you don't book.
As Italian, I'm delighted to have my dinners here during my stay in Elland. Nice friendly atmosphere, superb food. I particularly recommend fish: they're good at it, and have interesting propositions, and all comes at honest prices, specially considering the ongoing rising costs in the fishing industry. Don't miss their spigola, the insalata dell'Adriatico (exquisite), the pesce spada (swordfish, I was delighted at it), and you may close at the end with a sorbetto al limone which is the most proper dessert for any fish based dinner. If you are leaving by taxi, indulge yourself in one of their selection of white wines: a good fish requires a good wine, so I'd go for some consistent southern like Fiano d'Avellino or go for Sicily with a white Malvasia, Chardonnay or even better Etna. Bravo to the chef and the good guys there, and me, I just look forward tomorrow evening's next dinner!
Great experience start to finish. Bit slow getting a table but was busy for a Wednesday evening. Ragu Pappardelle is on Chef Specials so recommend. Tiramisu excellent with espresso macchiato & Amaretto. Lovely atmosphere so all good 👍
Went for Sunday lunch. Booking was made for 1.30pm, but a few of my group were running late. Finally got seated at about 2.40pm. The service was excellent!!! They could have told us to reschedule but didn't. I so appreciate that. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were accommodating while we viewed the menu. I would absolutely visit again, and highly, highly recommend this restaurant.
Great authentic, fresh Italian food from an extensive menu. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Lively atmosphere. Loved the meal here to celebrate an 18th birthday. Good range on menu and quick, friendly service. For a Monday evening it was very busy. Probably a little more expensive than other Italian restaurants around but the food was good and plentiful. There is a lovely bar area to sit/meet in before going to your table.
Just called in by chance as was working in the area, staff were very friendly and accommodating considering how busy they were. The restaurant was full, good atmosphere, nice modern decor. I had calamari which were a little drier than I'd maybe of liked but the sicalia pizza was delicious, as was the foccacia bread
We had a table booked for 7:30 but when we arrived just before then we were seated at the bar for around 25 minutes before we were shown to our table. However they did take our order while we waited and the starters were on the table waiting when we were seated.
The food was lovely and there were lots of options, including a list of vegan choices.
For a Monday night it was far busier than I expected and so was a pretty loud atmosphere.
All in all though a lovely evening
