Really nice pub would return if i lived in the area. Visited for a beer and some food with wife and infant daughter, large carpark, is located at the top of the hill, staff and the locals were very welcoming. Nice selection of ales lagers and spirits. Restaurant section looked to be closed, but the
An excellent village pub at the heart of the community, not only serving the normal bar food but also excellent gourmet food as well. Steak night is a must or the fish and chips are the best in Huddersfield!
Relaxed nice little place, food was lovely. I had fish of day. Spot on, lovely crispy skin and accompaniments were tasty too. Everyone else enjoyed their food also, 6 cleans plates. Thumbs up from us.
Have wanted to try here for ages and we were very impressed (pub menu at lunchtime). Lydia was so helpful and welcoming and the food was lovely and great portion sizes. So many tempting choices on the menu so was hard to decide 🙂
First time visit, superb Sunday lunch for mum's birthday. Amazing pea and ham soup followed tender sirloin of beef.
Delicious scallops with ceviche and a spicy samosa as our starters. Followed by a tender filet of beef on tagliatelle with mushrooms (served with a side of potato and seasonal veg - too much!) The other main was mussels with hand cut chips, also extremely tasty. We will be back soon!
My mate always recommended this place but never been, not too busy which is good (can chat) and bad (too quiet). Had pie and a couple of pints, the staff was nice and even had BT (TNT) sports on too, will go again as only down the road for sample the menu more often.
First visit... Wow will be returning. The food was very cooked bringing all the flavours out, the presentation was excellent. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive.
We went for dinner on a Friday night. We took advantage of the Fizz Friday offer (£12 for a bottle of prosecco) The food was lovely, the service was warm and welcoming. The chef came and checked that everything was ok and I thought the price was good for the quality of the food. Look forward to retu
It was a quite night- we watched the Tennis. Still can't get over how plush the carpet was. The beer was good. TV is in a good position, a few humorous comments passed about Wimbledon by others that actually made the tennis rather amusing. Will be going again...
