Came here on a Thursday lunch time, about half hour after opening. Was greeted promptly and shown to a table, staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a slightly odd strong chlorine smell at first, which was a bit off-putting, but dissipated after a while. I'm assuming from mopping/cleaning or whatever with it being so close to opening time. Anyway, between us we ordered steak & ale pie (no complaints there), a mini grill (not-so-mini, great value!) and the katsu chicken (very, very good! This actually surprised me how good it was as it's not your traditional pub grub!). Beer was nice, service great. I will definitely be returning! Also, if you're a Blue Light Card holder, you can get 20% off your food bill (you need to generate a code using the app as it says they no longer just accept showing your card at the till).

Grandma and Twin Granddaughters Saturday fun What a great place for children. Food reasonably priced and great choice for youngsters. Even taking care of tots with smaller appetite and older children needing more £23.75 for Steak and ale pie, chips mushy peas and gravy and two lots of tomato pasta with a garlic bread side . Add two fruit shoots and 500ml of Diet Coke The little ones were presented with a large drawing sheet and the table allocated to us had a tv with CBeebies programme on One grand child ate all of her pasta and the other ate my chip with gravy and half of her pasta We then spent an hour in the Wacky Warehouse Whilst the food was edible - there was only a couple of chunks of steak in the pie. It’s not a place I’d come to with just adults but for families it’s perfect. Great time had by all

Visiting here is always a complete please. Not a bad word to say, the atmosphere is great, the food incredible & service is some of the best we’ve ever had. It’s our new favourite place to eat & cannot wait to return! Our food in the pics, festive burger, festive pie & mixed grill, we’ve tried lots of food and also recommend the seafood mixed grill & the roast dinners. Our server this evening was Abbey & she was exceptional

Good variety of dishes available from the menu(s). Some great deals available. Food was served fairly quickly and was hot and tasty. Wide selection of beers and wines behind the bar. Really friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking spaces. Free wi-fi. Definitely worth a return visit.

The service was good, no long waits on drinks or food in comparison to other place. Had the macaroni cheese, it was okay, nothing amazing. The cheese wasn't very flavourful. But otherwise a cheap and cheerful meal. The hot chocolate drink I had was decent enough.

It was our first time visiting High Park and we all enjoyed our meal, I ordered the chilli chicken burger, delicious and didn't have to wait long before our meal came. For dessert my niece and I ordered the brownie and coffee, yummy. My great nephew who's 7 months was well impressed with the balloon he was given. My mum even enjoyed the cod and chips.

Revising my review which I did about a year ago as the High Park has undergone a refurbishment and is no longer an Eating Inn but is now A Pub and Grill under the Greene King ownership. The Wacky Warehouse is still there which is a good play gym for kids. The new environment has created a cosy surroundings to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu has changed with a greater emphasis on steaks and burgers. However, the issue still remains as I mentioned a year ago regarding the availabilty of items on the menu. On the evening we went no fish dishes were available. So there was no salmon, no seafood grill or fish and chips. Also the fish pie which I have enjoyed at the High Park is no longer on the menu. Our party of 4 all had steaks which were cooked to our satisfaction. They came with half a roasted garlic, vine tomatoes, chargrilled vegetables and either a side salad or one of a selection of fries. Mushrooms are not an option and onion rings are an extra. Personally I would ditch the roast garlic as it did not go well with the steak. We managed to get a jacket potato although not on the menu but new potatoes are no longer available. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall we enjoyed our evening and will return.
