Absolutely beautiful cakes and food, generous portions, we had meringue nest fresh fruit and cream and the tastiest moist chocolate fudge cake 😋 the staff were super friendly. Definitely be returning, we loved it there and you can see the cows and dairy farm attached from the outside 🐮
On this occasion we only had and and ice cream. Which are always gorgeous and very good value for money. You can also visit and watch the cows being milked.
Love this place.
Took little one (age 5) for his first visit today, before getting an ice cream we popped up to the viewing gallery so he could see where the milk came from. He was very excited to watch the cows as they came and went, being prepared for milking and of course the milking itself.
He then excitedly skipped round to choose his ice cream.
A great adventure and learning activity for families.
Lovely visit yesterday, food was absolutely amazing and great pricing considering the freshness and quality of the dish. was served by Alannah who went above and beyond with spectacular customer service skills, along with Judith on the tills didn’t catch the other woman’s name however she was lovely too. It was my first time at Dearne lea tearooms and will definitely come back again with kiddie winks in toe xx
The absolute perfect place to go for after-noon tea, a lovely drink that is made with passion, or one of the other options on the vast and well priced menu. There is a new special board daily that can range from soup, to mushroom stroganoff, to a hot beef and onion sandwich. The service is excellent and the staff are very caring and listen to any requests you may have. There is even a milking parlor that you can visit, so, a good experience for the kids aswell. The icecream is all homemade with local milk and have a wide variety of flavours. Overall, the perfect local diner for a lovely day out! 10/10. Will Recommend.
Lovely tea room added bonus they do Gluten Free!
And the GF home made almond slice was a generous portion & tasted delicious. I will be back.
We visited today after a year due to I’ll health. It’s still great quality food and friendly service.
Husband had the lamb Sunday lunch which he said was delicious. I had the quiche which was also delicious.
We will be returning again.
Would highly recommend.

Nice cafe and ice cream parlour. Watch the cows come home.
Been here a few times growing up in Huddersfield. It's placed next to the farm itself so it can give a odour when you're inside the place, however the food is what wins this place over. All of it is fresh and tasty!
To mention something that happened the last time I was there: the waitresses were a bit slow and seemed at times to forget that we hadn't ordered. But there's a checkout bit that you can get their attention at if you need.
Lovely little place, it's always a must for every school holiday treat and when we have friends and family gatherings.
Highley recommended and they don't scrimp on the ice-cream.
Lovely helpful staff.
A big hit for our littlies because you can visit the calfs. Pre covid you could watch the cows being milked too.
