Wonderful pub with an amazing cask and keg selection. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. The music while I was there was the right volume, not offensive and fun enough to keep you entertained. They are dog friendly and have treats available
Extremely lovely barmaid on a Tuesday evening. V friendly and down to earth pub with a slightly quirky traditional train station feel. Excellent ales, and a good pie and peas deal (veggie available).
Sat on the platform, such a perfect location, 4 rooms of Cask Ale, Craft Beer and Ciders, not forgetting the food is from Pieminister... Pie, Mash and pint for 10.95... could not fault at all.
The location, the service, the staff, the food, the drinks, just spot on, even bought a range of beer to bring home.

Just had a much needed cappuccino, thank you to Clare & staff. Took photo of the meal Clare was preparing of a
pie, pea mash( I assume), spud mash & crispy onions, with gravy, sent the photo back to my partner in Melbourne Australia, he'll be wishing that dish was his lunch!
I stopped by for a juice. Its was a lime juice n water. I Was served by a friendly enough guy. Atmosphere was just normal day type, quiet, mind your own business type of atmosphere and I didn't eat. This is the reason for my rating.

Genuinely top notch. The range of beers on offer is magnificent but the thing that makes it is the staff who really understand beer, are happy to chat about it and offer their opinions and who appear to have a genuine interest in it. You just don't get that everywhere.
It's definitely worth a visit. Some great beers to try
