Fantastic authentic chinese food! Chinese menu or english chinese menu (go for the chinese menu!)
Great staff and fab service!
Fantastic, natural tasting, home cooked style food. The beef in hot oil (schezwan style) was superb and generously garnished - better than red chilli’s in Leeds, which is very good. Great Singapore vermicelli. Very friendly owner, tasteful interior and good value for the quality and portions. We will be back to try many of the other dishes!
Great service and fantastic food at a more then reasonable price. I've visited this restaurant quite a number of times over the last few years, maybe 4 or 5 times this year and they always deliver on taste and quality.
Highly recommended.
The Hong Kong style roast duck is so delicious. My favourite Chinese restaurant in Huddersfield. Lovely authentic food, friendly staff and large portions.
Delicious meal and they were easily able to accommodate my partner's food intolerance. Portion sizes are very generous and the non-westernised menu is very diverse with loads of things we'd never tried before.
Lovely food - especially from the traditional Chinese menu - the mapo tofu is fab, as are the dumplings. We come here quite often and the food is always fab.
Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurant in Huddersfield. Quite trendy furnishing.
Can’t believe it took so long to discover this place.
Prices are reasonable and relatively authentic. Can’t really beat Chinatown in Manchester/Leeds; but the closest you’re going to get in Huddersfield/Halifax area.
There can be a bit of a communication barrier when ordering.
My first time visiting Rivers and what beautiful food. Staff were very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long. Would definitely recommend and I will be visiting again soon x
Friendly staffs, good service and spacious. Played a birthday song for my son's birthday. Nice foods, good portion and foods served fast. Good ambience. Good we had a great time and
It is our first time here.
we recommend it.
Really great food that is authentic. I would highly recommend coming here. I loved the food and the staff were nice.
I'd describe the service as relaxed rather than slow, but I was in on a Monday evening so expected as there were only two people serving. The atmosphere may be better on Friday/ weekend but Monday it was very quiet and only about a third full, but everyone there seemed to be enjoying the food. I enjoyed the food and there was more on the menu than your typical Chinese restaurant, which was a very pleasant surprise. Overall I'd give it 4.5. Very impressed.
Ate here early evening with my young son. Place was fairly quiet, so no wait for a table. Polite young lady served us and food didn't take too long. The food was superb - I've been craving a really nice Chinese meal for a long time, and this was perfect. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and a couple of drinks, came to about £33 - very good value for the quality and quantity.
Will definitely come again.
