Beautiful views, friendly staff, cute craft shop & good variety in farm shop. Had some lunch too <3 would love to visit again :)
Lovely lunch with friends yesterday. I had the spitfire battered fish and chips and it was the most lovely meal. Friends had salads, they were huge and leftovers were wrapped to take home. Waitresses were efficient and friendly. Place was busy but not crowded and we watched the preparations for the bonfire party later that night.
I have driven past many times and thought I should go in. I have been missing a treat and will ensure I return. Highly recommendex.
Great experience at Hilltop farm both in the cafe and pumpkin patch! We were very impressed by the range and quality of pumpkins. It started off with a walk through the sunflower field which was decorated with halloween scarecrows and a massive spider, which was very impressive! The pumpkin patch itself was vast and we managed to find many different pumpkins including a huge one to carve.
We also went into the cafe for some lunch and the farmers platter was excellent! The staff were excellent and very attentive. Overall a great experience at hilltop farm!
Lovely little farm shop filled with great products and really friendly staff. They have a really nice little play area out the back (with a beautiful view) and you can buy food to feed the goats. My daughter even made friends with the farms dog. We will definitely come back and visit the cafe/ restaurant next time we are passing.
Great burger & wine. Superb views & friendly staff. Seems popular with everyone, toddlers or pensioners!

Lovely setting. It's great to find somewhere different in the nearby area! Great views with an outside play area, I'll bring my little one with me next time! We went for breakfast, which was delicious. Expected pricing. Farm shop next door with some tasty food items!

Went to another farm shop cafe yesterday which was good but this was better.
When we arrived at 11:45 we found out brunch was still going and lunch didn’t start till 12:30pm. But waitress showed us to a table, took our orders for hot drinks and gave us the lunch menu to browse. Coffee was hot and good and came with double cream as requested. So we could sit with a leisurely kindle read till lunch. She took our order early so food came at 12:30 on the dot.
Both of us had the steak which came with garlic butter. Tender and yummy. Plenty of crispy chips for me and wife had side salad substitute.
Finished with excellent Victoria sponge that had less jam and so wasn’t too sweet as they can often be.
Despite very busy place, service was prompt and attentive.
Butcher in the shop almost had me sold with the delicious looking take home sausage rolls pies and samosas.

Went to pick a pumpkin - what a lovely place to go! I saw about 100 pumpkins just in the patch where we were, different sizes and colours - love the white ones!
For little children it must be so lovely winding their way through the tall sunflowers like a maze (still beautiful even though they'd finished flowering - fun for kids to pick at the tactile seed heads!), until they reach the pumpkin patch with enormous specimens!
Great that Hilltop provide wheelbarrows, as they're heavy fruit! The best bit is if you don't want all the mess in your kitchen that comes with scooping out and carving a pumpkin, there are tables and carving tools on site. A lovely afternoon, super friendly staff and a really great coffee shop too. We'll be back for sure.
Gorgeous place for meals and relaxing... stunning scenery... advise you book as it does get very busy... take extra cash to buy from the butcher.. fantastic foods
Was overcharged (£12:15). Did not notice until I arrived back home. Sent them an email, with photographs. Have yet to receive a reply, will not hold my breath. Have received a constructive reply. Will be visiting the farm shop again. Very tasty ‘scotch eggs’

Beautiful location with 180° views from outside seating area of the cafe, and it is hilltop so you can see for miles. The food is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it is delicious. The play area is a bonus and we went at Easter, when they had prescheduled slots for children to meet the lambs. We hadn't booked but were still able to meet and stroke the lambs at the end - all the staff were friendly and there is a real family run feel to the place. I also bought a couple of handmade birthday cards, a gift and some meat for a BBQ from the shop. The second photo is from a day the previous week when I liked it so much I went back at Easter with the family, and we will definitely be returning!
