A nice little place to have a bit of food and a drink, while taking in the view of the of the Wash. Friendly staff and tastey food at a reasonable price
Well lost for words ? Stayed in marine hotel great place ! Great breakfast! And room ! And service! Friendly staff ! And evening meal at waterside ! Best haddock freshest fish ever ! Best pint of broadside ale ever 👍
This is our first visit, and definitely won't be out last. Great views from the outside terrace, and the food was brilliant. The cod was huge, but had to pay extra for peas which you would normally expect to automatically have with a fish and chip meal. I had the fish pie with chips and salad, which was packed with chunky fish, a great sauce and topped with mash, cheese and prawns. Both meals were pipping hot. Meals didn't take long to arrive and the waiter was very attentive. They have gone all out decorating the bar ready for Halloween, which looked fantastic.
Been here a few times over the years. The food is exceptional (make sure you're hungry, as the portions are quite big).
Highly recommended 👍🏻
My wife and I went there at the weekend for some late breakfast, the view from the conservatory of the seaside was very nice.
Having to go to the bar section to order drinks and then go to a separate counter to order food was a bit odd but obviously not a massive hassle.
The staff member said I can get our own cutlery from the boxes by the counter, however I think a group had recently come in and had put all their used cutlery back in with the clean as quite a few of the knives and forks were covered in bits and crumbs.
My wife had the chef's special cod, and I had the scampi. Both were absolutely delicious, you can really tell the difference between freshly catch fish and 'fresh frozen'. The batter on the cod remained crispy throughout, even on the bottom where it would normally go a bit mushy, worth returning to Hunstanton just for that.
There are multiple car parks next door and opposite, they are quite pricey but that is not the restaurant's fault.
Only 1 thing that let the visit down food was good chips where excellent the fish where massive but only 1 lady running round serving food
We made a stop here when arriving on Saturday at Hunstanton for a quick bite to eat.
Inside looked nice and clean.
Not many readily available seating areas for more than 4 people but we just used 2 tables for our group of 8.
It was quick and easy to order food and drink at the bar. Food was prepared quick and the food seemed fresh.
Kids meal is quite limited but we found something for everyone.
Personally I had the scampi and it was delightful.
Only negative and the reason for the 4/5 stars was the limited seating to either see the seafront or be outside as the inside area can be quite dark.
Just popped in here for a drink before our coach trip back to Milton Keynes, very clean surround with a great selection of beer on hand pumps. We didn't eat as we eat earlier, have to say that the food being served did look nice and hot and a generous portion.
Would definitely use again, perhaps eat there next time as they had a good varied menu.
Good food but not a lot for the price you pay, lovely people, OK for family and dogs too
Brilliant staff very friendly and amazing decorations for Halloween
A very pleasant pub that also serves food delivered to your table. There is a nice selection of beverages to be had. It is situated just above the Hunstanton promenade so there are great views of the prom and the sea. Also you are protected from the sea breeze by clear glass screens. A lovely vantage point and a recommended place to relax fo a while.
Great position over looking the beach.
Poor food choices, nothing vegan friendly, loads of single use plastic sachets containing ketchup, mayo etc not very environmentally friendly.
No sun shades outside for a bit of shade on sweltering days.
Place gets great decorations for Halloween and Christmas.
