Overall a decent experience. Food was cooked well and had great taste. Fairly priced drinks too. We were let down by limited menu options as they were low on food to serve. We was also disappointed that we were not spoken to as soon as we entered - we was sat at a table for at least 10 minutes before we was acknowledged by staff. However we must add that when we was served the staff were very friendly!
Tiny improvements:
Replace some of the light bulbs in the fixtures as some are blown
Add more fly repellant throughout as we had flies flying around whilst we was eating our food.
Lovely food, staff was very nice, Husband got a nice pint, good price, clean and good views, going again soon
Quick, friendly service. Food was pretty good and not too pricey for the spot near the seafront.
This is my personal best choice for restaurant in Hunstanton and here’s to why.
Staff are really really welcoming and sweet and this alone hits my five stars given straight away.
They are not only polite and friendly, but also something else made me a very nice impression, something you could easily miss. We entered the place at 16:50 and nobody told us they were closing 17:00, in 10 minutes! Nobody mentioned it at all, we were warmly welcomed, our order taken, served, we ate in total peace until 17:30 etc. - not a single sign of rushing or anything! Most restaurants would have probably closed the doors, to demonstrate that it’s time to go, but not here! Not even a gentle reminder, we were treated like friends!
About the food - totally independent from the above, I loved every bite! The chicken was made, like the absolute perfection!
About hygiene - the place was sparkling clean (I have experiences of all sorts, this is my not so humble expert opinion here). A couple left shortly after we arrived and I saw two of the waitresses taking the stuff away from the table and with no delay cleaning and disinfecting it so carefully that I presumed it was their own business, never seen such care and total absence of rushing at the end of the day.
I also used the toilets and they were immaculate. First time I see restaurant toilets so clean, 5-stars for that too!
Last thing - prices were spot on. I am quite stingy when it comes to value for money and you get the best of it here.
Location is quite easy to find.
Will definitely be returning when in Hunstanton again!
The meal was tasty; batter was light and crispy (not oily). A nice range of food. Price was moderate (not cheap, not expensive).
The food was great, considering the temperature, the restaurant was cool and comfortable. Staff was welcoming, and listened to our dietary requirements. They must be Harry Potter fans as cute condiment holder. Minus the little black insects, the atmosphere was really nice, toilet facilities tidy and clean.
Was looking for somewhere to eat and come across this place. Me and my fella walked in and were greeted straight away and sat next to the window so we had a good view. Waitress quickly took our orders and didn't need to wait long for it. We both had chicken bites, chips and peas,,,now for the price we paid I have to say, it was worth every penny! We even left some chips as we were stuffed. The only downside my fella found was that there was only 1 toilet, which is why I wondered why he had gone for so long. Will definitely be coming back!
Been here three times now food was good ,service was good first two times. Sadly ,on our third visit service was not good ,younger staff serving possibly due to holidays not as oiled as previous server's .
Still wood say go give them a try.
What a friendly restaurant food freshly cooked to order, we really liked it there and prices very reasonable.
Dropped in on a whim in our weekend away, we were welcomed immediately, seated and left to look at the menu in peace. The staff were incredibly friendly, and engaged with our 3 year old daughter (who is usually very shy). This really added to our experience.
Next, the food, wonderfully presented, portion sizes were very generous, and the quality of it was incredible. We all enjoyed our lunch, even the fussy 3yo. We never felt rushed, despite it getting quite busy whilst we were there.
Overall it was a very good experience, and if we are in Hunstanton again it will be our first port of call for food.
