The Dragoon Pub And Restaurant

Met some friends for lunch and chose to visit the Dragoon. Made very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Felt like a 'real pub' and everything was clean and presented well. Chose to eat outside and enjoyed some great pub grub and really great, friendly service. Pubs like this deserve to survive

Nearly refurbished, we visited it after it had been open a week. They had done a good job. The menu is limited and caters for most tastes unless you have a vegetarian child in which case you will need to ask for something special. The meals were served reasonably quickly but were a bit bland. My steak pie needed more seasoning and kick. My colleague ordered a vegetarian pasta dish which arrived without any pasta. Our host was very apologetic and didn't charge us for our soft drinks. Could have done without music videos in background spoiling the atmosphere. It's good value though. Just wish kitchen gets its act together!
