Had a lovely Sunday lunch for mothers day would highly recommend it we didn't wait long at all the staff are real pleasant.

Didn't get the opportunity to eat as they were not serving food until Friday unfortunately.
Had a couple of different Timothy Taylor beers which were new to me and both were excellent. Great local village pub with a friendly atmosphere and cracking beers ... What more could you want?
Staying at a lodge in the area for partners birthday so booked a table here for Saturday evening.

I'm 58 yrs old and I've dined all over the UK, and can honestly say that this was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had.
Starter, main course and sweet were out of this world,and the staff couldn't do enough for you, and the cost was a lot cheaper than expected. Starters, mains,and sweet for 2 people, 3 pints and 2 ciders, and all for an amazing £66.00.
All I can say is we'll done wheatsheaf, and would highly recommend to anyone.

Really nice calm friendly atmosphere
Food was lovely, we had the full Parmo meal and the steak and ale pie and they did not disappoint. Portions are big and taste great!

Lunch here today was outstanding, each time I visit the food is consistent, its hot ,tasty &moorish,staff are lovely too 😋 highly recommend 😀

We visited for quick Saturday Drink and catch up sports results after beautiful afternoon walk. Stayed longer for a meal and what a fantastic meal on special board Chicken Kiev and Pepper Chicken meal outstanding Staff friendly atmosphere so relaxed we will definitely return what a wonderful pub truly traditional Yorkshire Thank You
The BEST Sunday lunch in North Yorkshire bar none. I've lived in a few places around the UK and I've found nowhere yet that matches this place.
Just had a drink in there before Tomahawks but it was really nice the beer garden was nice and the food smelt lovely
