Reviews of Afters

The fruit dessert and Netula were quite lovely and fresh. It was busy, as anticipated, but management needed to lower the volume of the Television to create a reasonable environment for interactions. We struggle to understand what the order taker is saying as the noise from the Television is high. However, the street is quite busy, and there is a gas station close by. I will recommend the Afters - Ilford for after Lunch or supper.

Sunday evening after a meal at franzos a few hundred meters away we fancied some desert. Afters was close and seemed like a good idea. We weren't disappointed the menu was extensive but without being too expensive in today's comparative market. Service was very quick and efficient. I had number 1. Mango man.

    <br/><br/> I was appealed by the hygene standards and the customer service in the Iford branch. I went there with a group of 5 people. What was astonishing was to see one of the waiter scooping the ice cream with his dirty fingers where few seconds before he was handling a pen and didnt wash his hands or wear gloves which i consider as basic hygene practice for a parlour like AFTERS which has several branches around London. <br/><br/> My second point is regarding the awfull customer services as we were the first people to get into the shop and were waiting for a table but yet the staff would rather offer a table to 2 people who came after us rather than a table to us (5 people). <br/><br/>When complained about it the waitress was somehow apologetic but the guy who came after was rather rude and unfriendly and making up rules as they come ie: we had to book a table but when we walked in the waitress clearly told us to wait for 5 minutes to get a table which then I dont understand why after 20 minutes wait people who came afters us got it. <br/><br/>The place is pricey, the desserts aren't wow, the customer service doesn't exist and I doubt thw hygiene practice at that place a no go<br/><br/>

Since my last visit to London I had planned to visit this place but couldn't do so, so this time when I was here I made sure I go here in the beginning of my holidays. This place is very close to my house and is mostly busy especially during the night hours. We were around 7 of us and getting a table here was not less then a nightmare, got a table after 25min.<br/><br/>After being seated the waitress took around 10mins just to clean our table she was pretty slow and didn't even know how to wipe the table clean, she looked completely lost. There menu was very shabby, some of the pages were falling apart. We started by placing an order for a mix Slush, this one was very refreshing and since its too hot at the moment this drink works as a cooling agent. It was a mixture of few tropical flavored syrups. The other few things which we ordered were Waffle with Vanilla Ice cream, Ferrero Rocher Ice Cream shake and Brownie Ice Cream shake. It didn't take much time to come and all of the items arrived together which was a nice thing otherwise you dont want to be the only one eating while others are still waiting for there stuff to arrived.<br/><br/>The Waffle was average it could be better but when I had it with the Ice Cream it tasted a bit better. I would say it was average and pretty basic nothing great about it. The Ferrero Rocher Ice Cream shake was the one which I truly loved, it had a very nice presentation and looked appealing too. This one I would recommend for all the Chocolate lovers who just cant get enough of it. It had a brilliant chocolaty taste and I wouldn't mind going there again for this one especially. Lastly the Brownie Ice Cream shake was also good in taste but didn't had any Brownie in it which was disappointing since we though we might get few bits and pieces of it but there were hardly any. Even this item had a lovely presentation and apart from the fact there was no Brownie in it, it still tasted marvelous but surely not as good as the Ferrero Rocher one.<br/><br/>The service at this place is slow and it is slightly expensive compared to other Ice Cream parlors. The waitress who was serving us looked clueless and lost. There are few things which we liked and few which I would say was just basic.
