Nice dessert shop. Prices are reasonable. Staff was very helpful and courteous. They do accept cash but for some unknown reason they don’t accept £50 notes.
So, since I visited Crome on St James Street in London, I have fallen madly in love with their luscious French toasts. So I decided that I had to find another dessert place nearer to me, that does French toast like that. That was when I stumbled upon Urban Chocolatier online. I immediately ordered French toast because that was the reason I was there. Lol. I must say that they didn't beat Crome, but it was still ok. The problem with that is, 'ok' wasn't enough to take me back anytime soon, but I can't say I won't visit again. The black gentleman waiter was so nice and helpful. If anything, I'll visit again because of him. He deserves to be the branch manager. I also noticed that they weren't economical with their chocolate sauce and fruits. Their prices are also not too bad. Unlike Creams, whose waffle sizes and fruit portions get smaller by the week. Yet it's pricier.
It was my third time attending Urban chocolatier and I will return again.
The desserts are delicious and it is not easy to find french toast served in dessert shops. Presentation is lovely and service is fantastic. Portions are big sizes as well along with fresh and tasty.
Since I’ve arrived in London this place has been my go to for the tastiest treats ever ❤️ I would love a place like this in New York. HANDS DOWN THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I recommend this to anyone for a late night snack or morning lol. I’ll be back soon 🔥 you guys are so awesome.
This is one of our regulars after a late night out and the majority the time, everything had been really pleasant. The deserts are lovely and there's a lot to choose from, so it can take a bit of time choosing.
However, they are open till 1pm so if your craving something sweet, l would defo go here then anyway else local!
I visited this place on a weekday. It has a very pleasant ambience and very good seating capacity.
You can come along with family and friends to have delicious items. Most of the items are scrumptious and appealing.
Please note if you are not a heavy foodie, be considerate while ordering as many items have large portions. I couldn't finish mine.
Absolutely delicious friendly staff and nice family seating. The freak shake I tried which was called “a piece of cake” was absolutely delicious and contained a nice gooey chocolate cake with a nice chocolate milkshake layered underneath. Every bite was enjoyable. Also on order was a peanut butter stack and a double cookie dough Biscoff which was enormous and tasty too. Definitely worth a visit.
Urban Chocolatier Ilford deserves all the praise for their exceptional qualities! Firstly, their quick service impressed me, ensuring I didn't have to wait long to satisfy my cravings. The staff's good customer service added to the enjoyable experience, as they were attentive and accommodating.

And oh, the passionfruit mojito! It was a refreshing and tasty treat that perfectly complemented the sweet indulgence of the ice cream.

Waffles and cookie dough (triple chocolate) is out of this world.
Nice ambiance, friendly staff and parking is usually available on the backside of the opposite street.

Great staff! Though there is only one lady to serve in the night she was doing well.
There is no customisation available, we needed a plain waffle but they charged for a chocolate and strawberry waffle, as plain waffle is not there on the menu.
Rest all is good, the taste is awesome.
The flavours repeat in all sections, such as in icecreams/ waffles/ etc the flavours are one and the same just the names are different.
