Just had an amazing meal. Steak pie and chips. Absolutely amazing. Husband had Steak and chips couldn't fault it.. Can't wait to see go back 😊😀

Our sons birthday today, booked a table for 5 adults and 2 children, pre-ordered our meal after arriving and getting our drinks we were seated and eating in 10 minutes, excellent food, excellent service from the new landlord and landlady Matt & Jacquie.
I rate the pub 10 out of 10 and definitely well worth visiting.

Just had Sunday lunch for the first time here. A really great pub Sunday roast, great value for money. Staff working hard with a smile for everyone. Great atmosphere in a traditional pub. Thanks

Friendly helpfull staff, good food, def would visit again. I had chips topped with pulled pork, a side of breaded mushrooms & a side salad £5.78 brilliant value x

This pub has a real history within Ilkeston, if you look back you will find out all sorts about its history. The landlord has changed a few times over the last 15 years or so, that said they do a great Sunday lunch here and nice food.
You can hold functions here and they do have a play area round back for kids (although it is run down) they have a reasonable sized car park and disabled access.
Service has always been good, prices average, over the years I have been many times for various reasons.
