We absolutely love this Pub! Can never understand why it's not an awful lot busier. Family friendly. Brilliant Beer Garden. Amazing food. Great selection of drinks and snacks. Thank you to all the lovely staff who are always so very friendly and welcoming!
A lovely pub, very cosy and great in winter or summer (huge secluded outside area). Excellent, varied food menu with really interesting choices. I ate chorizo picante and a goats cheese flat bread, both were lovely.
Good service and food. Personally I thought my starter was a little under seasoned, but only a little. The kids portion was fine for our 4 year old but it may not suffice for older kids. The only thing I'd like to see is a local lager as they have local ales. The white Russian chocolate orange was awesome!
Mid afternoon Sunday lunch. Quite an unassuming place from the outside as it's quite cosy inside. Food was good although I thought the kids main was a little small. Perfectly fine for our four year old but I think any older and you'd expect a little more. White Russian was delicious!
We had our wedding party here, we wanted a chilled out easy afternoon with a big party in the evening. Jo was so helpful, she met up with us a few times, was super organised and easy to work with. All the venue staff were relaxed, kind and did a great job setting up and helping us pack down. The food was all so tasty and filling; we had canapes, pies, chips and hot sandwiches in the evening. We had vegan and fodmap diet guests and nothing was too much trouble and everyone was well fed. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding or party here. For us, this place was perfect.

Delicious fabulous Sunday Roast. Stepping in from the freeze we received a warm welcome from the staff and roaring fire from the wood burning stove.
Lovely buzzing atmosphere - best Sunday roast in town. Cannot recommend it more highly.
Hidden gem! Food was superb, lovely small menu, and all home cooked, excellent quality. Highlight was definitely the triple cooked chips, which were huge and really tasty, and the dessert was fab. Definitely not what we expected from the outside, very relaxed atmosphere. Great service, will definitely visit again.

I didn't have food and attended the Shoo birthday bash and to do some networking which was cool as it was my first time but will be back as it inspired me a little so the more the better.

Love the place, great food and such a cosy space. The chocolate and banana brownie with raspberry and sorrel sorbet was an absolute treat. There wasn't many people in on a Thursday evening but such lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend !
Food and service are without fail excellent. Had the Indian style fish and chips today which was delicious. Sunday roast here is best in Ilkley. Daughter and friend had chicken and spinach curry and said that was excellent too.
Amazing real home cooked tasting food. Would 100% recommend to everyone. The service from the really lovely staff was great and one of the best espresso martini's (chocolate hazelnut flavour I think) I've ever had, could do with being bigger though 😄
The vintage Britannica encyclopedias from over 100 years ago definitely kept us geeks entertained too!
