Lovely little cafe next to the river with an art gallery and gift shop attached. Really friendly service from the staff. We had coffee and pancakes and it was all delicious.
Baby friendly with high chairs and a clean change table in the toilets. Way better to stop here rather than the services - it is literally 1 min off the A303. Door is a little hard to find but it’s got a small entrance sign at the top.

Found this small cafe by pure chance on our way to the SouthWest. Lovely coffee and so welcoming to our two dogs that we called in again on our way back home a week later. The owner remembered us and we were served scrumptious toasted sandwiches with salad, coleslaw and coffee. This will now be very a favourite stop when heading west. Highly recommend you try it.

Fantastic cooked English breakfasts, both the meat one and the veggie one. Lovely cappuccino. The manageress let us have the breakfast menu even though we were 10 minutes late for it. So grateful as we'd driven up from Looe on our way home to Horsham, West Sussex and were very keen to stop for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed it. There is also a gift shop and a small antique centre. Slightly off the beaten track but the Satnav was dead accurate and there is plenty of free parking. You can sit inside or out. We chose inside as it was such a hot day. Our dog was allowed in as well.

Great place to stop if you're on the A303 near Ilminster. 1 minute off the roundabout and down a funny track so easily overlooked. Nice cafe in an old mill house with seating outside by the stream and wild meadows.

Note you have to go up a flight of stairs to access it. Will be returning.

Wow! Absolutely fantastic hidden gem. Excellent range of food, lots of gluten free and vegan options. Really excellent quality food. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Free parking outside. In the same space there are some nice shops and art galleries. Highly recommended!
