We (three generations of life in fact!) have all been going to Blue Orchid for good number of years now and always without a doubt the staff are very friendly, polite and welcome you with care. Their menu is full of many Chinese food options and choices in which all food is delicious aswell so we thank you for all the above!! xx
This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. We always treat ourselves to quiet birthday dinner here and it never disappoints. Top tip book your table in advance as it is bustling especially on a Friday and Saturday night.
Recently had friend's 60th birthday dinner here upon another friend's recommendation. We had a wonderful time, there was 4 of us and the place was fully booked.
The portions were decent size and we ordered 4-portion sharing platter of appetiser, and a couple mains (crispy duck pancakes, mix vegetables, fried rice, steamed sea bass and beef with oyster sauce). We shared the mains between us and we were all satisfied and full at the end of the meal that we didn't have room for dessert. The sesame prawn toasts and spicy shredded beef were amazing.
Would definitely recommend this place. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to in a long time, and will definitely be coming back!
Only downside is there isn't any parking near the place, the closest local car parks were about 7 minutes walk (Romford Brewery or Liberty Mall).
Visited recently and it was our first time coming here. A lovely family owned restaurant with great service and food. Reasonably priced - however the spicy pork dish was not spicy at all and tasted very sweet like BBQ sauce, that was the only thing we didn't like. Portion sizes are very decent too.
I recently dined at this Romanian restaurant in London, and it exceeded all my expectations, deserving a solid 5-star rating. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy dinner. The menu was a delightful exploration of Romanian cuisine, featuring traditional dishes that burst with flavor. From sarmale to mămăligă, each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, and they provided excellent recommendations. The authentic Romanian wines added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. Overall, this restaurant offers a genuine taste of Romania right in the heart of London, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Delicious Chinese (Cantonese) food. Quality ingredients and very friendly staff. We ordered the Chicken with black bean sauce, salted chilli King prawns, salt and chilli bean curd and sizzling fillet Cantonese style. These king prawns were our favourite but all dishes were nice. Would definitely go back again.
First time at the Blue Orchid, the food was very good, the waitress that served us was excellent. I think it was very expensive for what we had.
Second visit in a couple of weeks and the food, and service was as going as before. Very tasty and hot as meals should be served.

Normally I list what we have. All I will say that a Chinese restaurant that only uses fresh ingredients hits every spot. Every dish I have ever had has been perfect.
They specialise in seafood and am sure nothing sees a freezer. It is fresh and meaty as it should be.
Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. We only go here and avoid all the cheap imitations.
Advice is to book ahead as it is really hard to get in. Two floors of perfect food.
Nothing is ever too much for them to make your experience perfect.

Hadn't been here for about 12 years and was delighted to find that the food and service were just as good as i remember. Fantastic place, highly recommended
