Great place for a walk, with kids or dogs or just other adults. Nice cafes along the walk and plenty of benches. Short and long walking paths so you can tailor it to your abilities. Not much incline. And lovely garden at the end. Would definitely recommend getting a year round ticket if you intend to go more than once. Booking a slot is easy.

Lovely gardens, pity we didn't get to see them at their best this Summer. The weather was fantastic so the walk around the lake was leisurely. Love the fairies dotted around. One way system so good social distancing. People were observing it in the shopping village too. Not so good in the garden centre restaurant where few staff were wearing masks to serve customers food.

Lovely day out. Gardens are beautiful. The row of numerous shops in the little wooden cabins offering a wide variety of clothes, gifts and food are amazing and support small businesses. The garden centre has an amazing array of gardening and household gifts and the 2 eateries are lovely too. You could easily spend a day here. Dogs welcome too which is fab!

Great place. Loads of space, pic nic seating and places to set up camp for a few hours or the whole day. More eating in the shopping area than in the gardens, but if you know you can plan. Rented gazebos look like a reasonable idea (could be more spaced out tbough). Good family day out, on lead dog friendly too.

Visited the gardens and can highly recommend, had a fantastic family day out! Mostly disable friendly although a few steep areas. Vegan ice cream options. Plenty of picnic benches and an amazing play park for the kids... As well as the stunning surroundings, such beautiful gardens. They have implemented lots of hygiene stations and one way systems for covid too, great day out.

The walk around the lake is one of the few things keeping me sane during the lockdown! All feels very Covid safe with a one way system implemented, alongside the need to make reservations. The walk is gorgeous (especially on a clear day) and super quiet; midway round you'll pass by the monkey forest - keep an eye out towards the top of the fence and you might see a monkey or two - I spotted one jumping between the trees.

Fungus spotting is fantastic in the woods in autumn. Trees are changing colour and putting on a colourful display. The grasses in the Italian gardens are looking golden. Such a beautiful place for a walk no matter what the weather.
