We book Sunday lunch here, whilst touring for a weekend on a motorcycle, the weather turned, and we headed for the Ingham Swan early, the welcome was warm and we were invited to sit in a snug, waiting area with a drink.m whilst the team did their best to seat us early, which they did! The food was excellent, as was the service, and we were so impressed. We’ve booked again for Sunday lunch and an overnight stay on a dinner bed and breakfast package, highly recommended
We had a lovely stay here this weekend. The staff were so lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Particular shout out to the manager Isabella who looked after us so well. The room was beautifully decorated and despite being cosy up in the loft space, it was everything we needed. The breakfasts were lovely and the chef was very accommodating to my vegan diet. Highly recommend.
Quite possibly one of the best meals I have ever eaten, the service was 1st class. Hubert our server for the evening was professional, friendly, wonderful personality and made sure we were all happy with everything. At the end of our meal we went and sat outside one of our party forgot her wine (only a third if a glads) and we all assumed it would've been thrown, out popped Hubert with said wine asking if she would like it how about that for going above and beyond on a busy night?? I will definitely be going back (my 1st time and I am ashamed to say I only live 8 miles away!) I cannot praise this wonderful venue up enough well worth a visit.
First. The food and service were amazing. We had the 7/8 course Taster Menu. Everything cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast was small at first glance, but top notch ingredients meant it was very satisfying.
Second. Accommodation. We stayed in room 4 as it was part of the package. Very nice space tea and coffee facilities,hair dryer, fan, TV and a hanging rail. The bathroom was compact but usable. The shower cubicle was very compact. I'm 6'3" and 20stone. It made the shower an experience. But did not detract from the overall stay.
Small negatives.
One chair in the room for 2 people I never get why places do this.
Only a double bed where a king size would easily fit( I think some other rooms had larger beds). But again, it didn't impact our short stay
Will definitely be coming again.
Had our Silver Anniversary dinner here, a 7 course tasting menu. Each course looked and tasted amazing! Our 3rd visit when on holiday here. A gem, expensive but for a special occasion totally worth it. Wish it was dog friendly. Not that it would stop me!
Just has the most amazing meal of our lives here! We came to the area for our little honeymoon. Everything from start to finish was perfection. The service was amazing, with a special thank you to Holly for her wonderful wine recommendation and hard work! Thank you so much to all the team for making our celebration evening so special. Really nice place with lovely service.
The food was great but some of the dishes are over complicated and could be simplified. We had the polenta starter which was yummy. The sea bass was beautiful but too many flavors on the plate. Rib Eye was ok. Truffle fries were delicious. All in all we would go back.
We went for a Sunday lunch, the cooking and service was excellent. The set menu has a good selection of dishes although I do question a £6 supplement for roast beef which to my mind is the Sunday lunch staple. That aside the meal, service and ambience really outstanding.
Great staff, limited choices for dinner & breakfast in particular.
Rooms are well kept but would suggest they think about putting a dressing table / desk with mirror for make up & hair drying. Also suitable mirror above sink for shaving etc.
Good chef but expensive meals and to be honest my rib eye steak was not great.
