Stumbled across this cosy pub when visiting Ingleton Waterfalls Trail with our male Siberian Husky. The food is delicious, quick service and good sized portions for the price. All staff are very friendly, polite, helpful and their quirky humour made our visit even more enjoyable. The log fire and new/fresh feel about the place made Masons Freehouse even more inviting. We even found the humorous quotes in the restrooms a very funny and personal touch to the whole atmosphere. We highly recommend everyone to visit Masons Freehouse! Our Husky also gives a full high 5 paws up, as he enjoyed his doggy treats very much! Thank you so much for your kindness and fantastic service. xx
Called in on the way home from the Lakes with some friends. What a cosy little pub and great staff. 3 of us had the homemade pie (steak and chicken). I had the turkey dinner. You get lots of veg and the pie and meat are great portion sizes for £9. Found out there are regular changes to the 5 handpulled beers that are on,(shame I was driving). They also have three rooms available to stay in. Maybe next time then those beers can be tested. We will be back.
We were passing through at the end of our trip on a Monday we called ahead and they were super accommodating. They were busy but the 2 front of house staff were fabulous and managed it so well. The meals were HUGE! And not only were they big but tasty too! Starters are not required here you will be well fed!

Been to the Masons four times now and never been disappointed. Called in for Sunday lunch and we were completely happy and satisfied. Excellent roast beef dinner. Piping hot and very tasty. A delicious dish of greens, lovely mashed potato, yummy roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire pudding. Lots of delicious ingredients, plus to top it off, the most amazing tasting carrots! You won’t be disappointed with this establishment. The staff were polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Hoping to get a table for NYE 🎉 Thank you! We will definitely be back.
I came in and had a drink but my main reason for writing a review is to review the toilets, they are some of the best pub toilets I have ever seen, clean and well kept I enjoyed the separate cubicles and the sink had good water pressure. The stall had a baby changing area and a bin aswell! The lighting was just right and they did smell quite good. The decor and interior design of these toilets has been well thought out overall I would say a solid 8/10 for toilets as there are a few scratches on the door and the carpet looks a little old but this is to be expected.
After a walk around the falls we headed here for a pub meal. Absolutely beautiful food. The most random lasagne I've had had which turned into the best. It will be well worth the 2 & half hr drive for the food again. Friendly staff. Lovely place.
Pie day on Wednesday. Literally the best chicken pie I've had. Literally the best stick toffee I've ever had. Came just as the kitchen was shutting and they served us. Server was friendly and fast. Good beers. Good price. 10/10
I stayed for 3 nights and ate there on the 1st night for convenience, I chose to eat there on the subsequent nights. I had a very adequate room with en-suite, that was very light and clean. The atmosphere in the pub itself was, well put it this way, if I lived around there I'd make it my local. ALL of the staff made me feel welcome, in short I would highly recommend this place to stay, eat and drink, don't be fooled by the menu it looks like it's pub grub but believe me it's way better than that. 5 star
Food was amazing, so tasty and the menu is great, everything we got blew us away. Great price too. Staff really friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend for food and drinks!
The atmosphere within was nice and cosy for the cold ISH weather that was around at the time but it does get warm after some time , the food was simply delightful , nice portions and definitely delicious . The service was amazing as the staff was friendly and polite . But an absolute MUST. Is the deserts , this amazing place served the best chocolate fudge cake I've ever had and this is no exaggeration. I definitely recommend this place .

Excellent pub indeed. Dog friendly and very welcoming. Very good quality ale. Very handy car park. Another great little place to stop by.
