I love to immerse myself in the quirky splendour of Tapeley Park. The marvellous gardens with expansive views delight my imagination, while a visit to the Tea Rooms delights my taste buds. I love the fact the vegetables are home grown and the service is so friendly, efficient and accommodating. Sitting out in the late Autumn sun, sipping tea with a warm breeze rustling through the leaves of the mature trees is akin to heaven. I thoroughly recommend this unique experience.

Nice place to visit, the gardens are great. And the views from the monument are stunning, you can see right across the estuary. The tea room is nice with a great selection of cakes. Proper tea as well, not tea bags.

Nice visit but be warned the house isn't open to the public, though I think that's the norm. We just assumed it was house and gardens. The gardens were really nice though and the walks and views were exquisite.

Wonderful gardens with stunning car park views. There was a hint of the great Tesco gardens with steps leading up from the Italian Garden. There's a large walled vegetable garden, where we had an interesting chat with volunteer gardener Mike. There's a rare Permaculture Garden too. Look it up as there's not enough room to describe it here. We had a good conversation with The Willow Woman in there, full of stories and information. Take a walk out to the Monument for even better estuary views.

The house makes a stunning backdrop for the beautiful gardens. Such a joy to wander around this hidden gem on a warm summer's day. The entrance fee includes a guide book which is unheard of these days! The tea room was delightful and we were lucky to have arrived there just as a fresh batch of scones had come out of the oven! Staff were very friendly - would highly recommend at this time of the year.

Beautiful gardens with decent tea shop. The bench at the bottom of the permaculture garden has to be one of the most peaceful spots on the planet. Lambs bleating, birds singing and zephyrs in the trees. Beautiful layers of planting leading to large varied trees. Stunning. Would be 5 stars but once we paid to get in, putting money into the owners pocket, we found out he is an anti-capitolist demonstrator, which on the face of it is a bit hypocritical.
