Social Enterprise. this is as well as a reasonable food place, is also a training place, so at times the service can be a bit less slick than you would expect in a place where there is no training.
There is a varies menu, well cooked, and usually well presented. I seriously recommend it if you are looking for a meal in Inverness. I would consider it in the top 5 which I choose from if I'm having my lunch in town.
What a gem of a place. Thoroughly enjoyed some home made soup and half sandwich today. Very friendly staff too. Would highly recommend
Spacious and clean cafe with a good variety of food options.
Super loving their savoury french toast; bacon with sweet honey . Nice ! Loving their Big Scottish Breakfast too!
And also great knowing that cafe Artysans is part of Calman trust! Please support them.
Absolutely loved this cafe - while many places next to major stations are overpriced or of low quality, Artysans provides a great breakfast and drinks at fair prices, so definitely great if you need something to eat in and around Inverness.
Very nice and social café. We enjoyed the soup and sandwiches very much and it is really well located if you are traveling as it is between bus and train. The staff was very friendly and also the cake was good. There are quite some lights inside which makes it a bit too bright, so a bit more atmosphere would be great. But that's really nit picking .
Service was great and the food was delightful. The Scottish breakfast was amazing especially the black pudding. We had the Indonesian coffee which was also lovely. Would highly recommend and it’s also for a great charity.
Cafe Artysans is a great social enterprise training young people into the world of work. It is located in the centre of Inverness just a walk away from both train and bus stations. They have a wonderful gift shop area as you come in with plenty of seating for breakfast, lunch or a snack.
Me and my girlfriend were staying overnight and wanted somewhere for breakfast before heading on the NC500, the staff are really friendly and welcoming. They have a wide variety of items on the menu but we had the full breakfast and French toast.
Unfortunately my breakfast wasn't that great with the kidney/baked bean combo, the sausage had a slight perfume taste and the black pudding didnt really have a taste. It was quite disappointing as they charge £11.25 for this, however my girlfriends French toast was delicious and went down a treat.
It's a lovely clean and tidy cafe, slightly overpriced but well worth it to support young people getting into work. Hopefully next time it will even better!
We were looking for somewhere a bit different for our last day in Inverness, and stopped by Cafe Artysans. What a lovely place!
I've never seen a more appealing plate of scrambled eggs and toast. Made me glad I went for something simple that morning. Hubby had the Brioche French Toast, and it got his seal of approval.
Great selection of cakes, and good options for dietary restrictions and allergies. I was recommended the Lemon and Blueberry sponge, and although that's not my usual choice, it was delicious and a great suggestion!
Another place we can add to our itinerary on our next trip to Inverness.
We came here multiple times during our stay in Inverness because the food, drink and service were all so lovely. You can't beat a coffee and a scone at the special price (check the wall inside, as it was not on the printed menu). But everything we had was very tasty. We will miss coming here!
Cafe Artysans just catered our garden wedding. From the planning right through to presentation everything was perfect! The guests were so impressed when they saw the food and were raving about how delicious it was. I highly recommend! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Varied buffet, Stovies and tray bakes all scrumptious. Absolutely delighted we chose Artysans to cater our wedding!
The Cafè has plenty of seats to offer and a good atmosphere. The menu also have a wide range of food. Including my fav soup Cullen Skink.
Unfortunately my soup came 4min late after everyone else got their food. The soup was okay. Haddock was really good, but I wish they added more fish. And it had a lack of flavours.
Imagine waking up in a wonderful Scottish weather and spending your morning sipping a great cup of tea in a lovely cafe less than a minute walk away..
P.S. This cafe is literally less than 30s walk from the main bus station guys!! WHAT A GEM!!
- Cooked Scottish breakfast £9.25
(haggis + sausage + mushroom w/ poached egg & toast)
Enjoy breakfast the Scottish way, serving until 11:30am. This plate is very delicious and fresh. Haggis tasted and smelled great. I recommend having the eggs poached and add pepper - fantastic!!
- English breakfast tea £2.15
I can't go a day without a cup of tea in UK LOL, Scotland too! Great tea enhances great breakfast - and they did a great job.
