A pleasant café beside a lovely small botanic garden

Fast service, great location, big menu

Great lunch time soup and cheese scone (bread, or oat cakes - GF, also available). Usually two choices of soup.
Been back under the Highlife Highland banner as Cafe Botanics for a while now. ☺️

Really nice setting, staff were trying their best to keep up. Not a big fan of all the packaged products but overall better than expected from some of the reviews.

A small cafe at the entrance to the botanical garden. They serve a selection of cakes and sandwiches, as well as hot and cold drinks. We ordered coffee with syrups and it was simple but nice! The cakes 🍰 are between £3-5, and drinks also a few £ each.
What impressed me was the attention to detail in the bathrooms: freely available sanitary products in both (!) female and male bathrooms. It was such a positive surprise.
Overall a nice stop before or after the botanical garden 🪴

Not only did they let us in after they were done serving for the day but even told us to stay for dessert rather than taking it home with us! I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. I had the chicken blt & lemon pavlova.....delicious!!!

We dropped the kids off at the leisure centre and thought the cafe here would be fine and handy, so tried driving towards it to find that to get access we had to drive away, go on a big detour round the back, then come in from the other side. Still, once we did that at least we got parked close to the door. As it was not too far to the actual gardens I took my rolator but we went to the cafe first. We found a table near the door though the seats were for me uncomfortable. They are all basic hardwood chairs. Nobody seems to think that elderly or disabled people might need something just a little more comfortable these days. We got our order which was fine and we enjoyed that then decided to view the gardens but before leaving, I needed to use the restroom.
Unfortunately it was undersized and I had a devil of a job getting turned and seated, though I did manage eventually. OK, I was slightly squint, so decided to try and lift myself a touch with the railings and get straightened. I then got an almighty shock as water squirted all over my rear end. I was still shaking half an hour later! Still I managed to get sorted and cleaned up and my wife and I went and enjoyed the botanic gardens, which, by the way, we highly recommend.
The cafe is fine enough for a cuppa, and the service and produce is decent. When we are back in Inverness we will probably go there again, but I will look somewhere else for a toilet.

Nice cafe with limited seating. They have a small selection of sandwiches and cakes with hot drinks available. Everything looked nice and clean. The log burner in the seating area was a nice touch on a cold November morning.

Limited food selection but lovely to be able to sit on outdoor veranda with a good coffee. If going, combine with a walk around the gardens and greenhouses and maybe purchase some plants and/or vegetable.
