Absolutely one of the best stalls on Ipswich Market, everything is so fresh and excellently prepared. I always go for a Chicken Biryani or Chicken Wrap & never get disappointed. I would 100% recommend this takeaway to anyone wanting to eat some fresh authentic Indian food!
Myself and my colleague visit the biriyani hut weekly due to the consistency of the food. By far it is the best Indian food takeaway in Ipswich. Food is high quality and low price! Would highly recommend
Was in Ipswich for work and decided to try this establishment. And I was not left disappointed! The vendor/owner was very friendly and chatty and the food itself was excellent and vibrant flavours which could be comparable to most at restaurant level and this was just as a stall in the market! Excellent experience and highly recommend with good value.
I have tasted better, not pleased with the decor of the restaurant and the fflat curry sauce having a sweet little salty and spiced flavour, displeasing to the aste buds.
Very good value meal deal, I haven't drunk the Tango yet but the tandoori chicken kebab, samosa and bhaji were pretty good, especially the samosa, not large and not too greasy but crisp and spicy, all for £5.50. Sorted out my lunch while browsing the market. Served with a smile too.
Judging by the reviews, expected something "Good"!.
Basically tasted like a Tesco ready meal take away that had been deep fried.
Tiny tiny samosa and bhaji .( Iceland buffet selection)?
Can't see where it's home made, as stated.. it all shouted of "frozen - commercial".
Sorry, doesn't match the reviews..
Biryani hut is by far the best Indian food in Ipswich. There's no need for a fancy restaurant or flash tables and chairs here as they work from a small trailer on market days down in the new food quarter. They produce good honest street food and are a big hit with the office staff in town, so be aware that by 3.30pm they are sold out. Staff are very friendly and always serve you with a smile, I believe he has done so well he is opening another trailer in a different location in town so keep your eyes open for Biryani Hut 2
We work on Ipswich market and were so pleased to see this stall sells vegan-friendly bhajis!
We’ve tried them in a wrap, and also with vegetable rice, and both options are really tasty!
The bhajis are amazing on their own; really crispy and flavoursome, and are great value! (We are a bit addicted to them!)
It’s always great to stop and have a chat with the friendly owners too!
All I have had so far is the samosas but they were delicious. Maybe a bit on the expensive side but the quality is good. Will try some more of the stuff on the menu next time.
great value and great food. highly recommend it. really pleasant staff. i cannot fault the food or staff.
Very tasty chicken tikka wrap, served by smiling face for £3, splendid. Think it is may only be there on market days,
Been meaning to visit for ages. Fancied a chicken wrap and ordered the tikka version. Excellent taste, value & presentation. Great customer care too. Highly recommended.
I have read many reviews of the Biryani hut, yesterday I found myself in the right place, at the right time. I wasn't surprised to see a small queue, it's popular. My short wait was compensated by some great food. I opted for the prawn biryani meal deal, but upgraded the included drink to a mango lassi. The meat samosa and onion bhaji to start were lovely. The biryani was excellent, well cooked and well flavoured. The Dahl that was served on top of it was like the icing on a cake, perfect. I can't wait for another visit. : D
The other thingis theday i went biryani theday the same asthe first time inthe taste was excellent superbly presented are solely those biryani
Friendly service, fast, and most importantly very tasty! High quality produce and very reasonable cost wise.
Been many many times, and will be going back many more.
We had the Biryani Hut attend for a birthday party for 60 people. The food was brilliant and the service was great too. Was nice to having something a little different for a birthday. Would highly recommend them. Thank you.
First went to BH 2 years ago... not long after it started trading. The quality is still top noch. Prices have not gone up. The food is tasty, hot and lots of it.
Great to go back and eat again.

Excellent , very nice , called today15/9/17 around 2pm and ordered a chicken wrap meal got samosa's and a drink for £4.50 , really tasty nice and spicy and the lady who serve dinner me was very nice and well mannered , impressed
One of the best chicken biryani myself and my husband have ever had. Not local but when in Ipswich will make sure we go when the hut is there. Lovely friendly owner, fantastic food nice to see something different
Absolutely wonderful. Biryani Hut fed 100 of us at a party I threw earlier this year; the food was delicious (both chicken and vegetarian biryani, onion bhajis, samosas, tarka daal and more) and served in very generous portions. I had so many comments from my guests about how good it was.
A bonus was that it was extremely good value! Even better, Runa and Syed are two of the nicest and most accommodating people I've met. Thank you Biryani Hut!
