A Monday evening and looking for something new.
Off the beaten track a little bit, and perhaps outshone (in looks alone) by some of the more glitzy looking quay side offerings, makes it all the more authentic.
It was a quiet evening, can’t imagine we’d be so lucky to get a walk in table at the weekend.
Freshly cooked food, piping hot to the table, extensive menu, friendly and welcoming staff.
Today was our second visit to this wonderful little restaurant. We stumbled across this by chance over the Xmas period, and we were so impressed with the excellent authentic food, friendly service and value for money. It’s an 80 mile round trip for us, but it is definitely worth the journey and we will be back soon!
Delightful restaurant. Very warm welcome, cosy and excellent food. The menu is a mixture of your typical westernised Chinese dishes and traditional dishes. I opted for traditional and all 3 dishes were excellent, the dry fried green beans especially transported me back to my travels in Sichuan province. Definitely give this place a go, you won’t be disappointed.
Didn't really want to put this review as others will want to go . Went as a family at 1900 hrs Saturday night . The place was busy ,including Asian customers, which must be a good sign. The restaurant decor is no frills but it is clean and spacious . The Manageress and Waiting Staff were all friendly and the service was very prompt and attentive . The food : Menu was varied from standard Chinese dishes to a more interesting Specials/Traditional alternatives. We had 4 x starter and 4 x Main. All were excellent and delicious with ample servings The final bill, including drinks, were a fraction of some of its more illustrious neighbours in the same marketplace but certainly did not lack their quality. we will be back
I had been avoiding Chinese food as MSG always give me shoulder pain and headache, let alone being thirsty as a side effect! But 92 noodle bar does not give me any of those effects and it means good quality food with no artificial flavoring! I have been to 92 many times and thumb up every time! Give it a try!!
I must have driven past this restaurant literally hundreds of times, without really noticing or paying much attention, as it is so understated and inconspicuous. However, after reading some online reviews, my son and I decided to give it ago. The welcome was warm and friendly and the food was delicious. It was certainly a cut above the well known noodle chains. The lunch menu is very well priced and I will certainly be back on a regular basis.
I had lunch here new years day and despite the restaurant being quiet when we arrived, the food was amazing! I recommend the noodle soups with the fresh homemade noodles, you can really tell that they're fresh. While I loved the experience and the food, what I would really love if I visited again is the option to make the noodle soups a bit more spicy. Maybe a spicy option on the menu or some chillies on the table
Visited for the second time this weekend, this is a real foodies gem!!! No posh furnishings or silly ambient lighting just really lovely food and staff. Loved it!!
I can’t recommend this place enough not on for quality, taste and value for money but service too.
We visited for the first time with our in-laws from Indonesia who were so impressed they went everyday thereafter. At one point requesting a specific dish that was made no questions asked.
You can park close by or walk along the marina to get there.
I will definitely be going back again. ☺️
lunchtime and we were short of time but restaurant
effectively organised without compromise on quality.
portion size just rught for a quick but wholesome lunch
Nice little restaurant without the usual oriental tacky decor.
Service was friendly and not pushy.
Food was good, but had better. Portions were so so. Our friends had a combo for 2, which I thought looked a bit disappointing. Although non of us had the Rami, the people on the next table did, and it looked good.
We went on a Saturday evening and it was busy, so would recommend reserving a table on weekends.
Hidden away on a busy road but so worth seeking out. Great selection of really fresh tasting food. Make sure you try the broccoli and prawns, sounds wrong but works so so well. Enjoy
Not the obvious place to visit as its hidden away behind the waterfront. Busy though so that’s a good sign and didn’t disappoint food wise with good service and pleasant enough atmosphere. Will go back and try a few more things on the menu as shows plenty of promise. Had a pleasant evening.
Fabulous food, staff really friendly! Authentic cuisine.. it's a must visit !
The beef with chilli is huge !! Don't eat all the chillies 🤣
So tasty food, good prices, quite big portions. Highly recommended to try. It was so busy on Friday night, so would be good to book a table.
We were heading off to the cinema and wanted to get a quick bite first. My husband had heard about 92 Noodle Bar from a friend and we knew they opened early evening so we went there around 17:30
The food was lovely, I had a vegetarian pad thai and my husband had a prawn dish.
The food was served quickly and was nice and hot (I hate being served lukewarm food!)
Reasonable prices and good service, I would recommend it, especially if you are in a bit of a hurry.
Very tasty Chinese food! Great quality, big portions. Very reasonable price. Sweet and sour chicken was amazing!! Friendly efficient service.
Chinese home cooking, really fantastic. Massive portions, everything tasty, what's not to like? Friendly service too.
We came for a treat.id heard about the handmade noodles the restaurant serves and they were so delicious! All of our food was delicious!!! The fresh seaweed salad especially so.we will be returning .such charming service. Brilliant work x
Had a great lunch here a few Saturdays ago. I arrived around 12:15 and it was completely empty. The girl who served me was friendly, helpful and very polite. The food was really tasty and the lunchtime deal is a very reasonable price. Would definitely return.
