Really nice pub, the improvement made to outside is fantastic.
Never had a bad meal here, great spot.
Only reason a 4* not 5* is because I feel they need some better value wines. It’s about £10.00 for the cheapest dry rose and be nice to have an alternative.
Had a lovely meal there, staff were friendly and attentive. Decent beer, wine over priced (£25 for a bottle of house white)
Staff are really good, work hard and helpful, especially little Lauren.
Book one of their pods, and you get table service.
Definitely book as it gets busy.
Food is good quality.
Overall, it was well worth the visit. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing . tops all the roasts I've had in Ipswich. Their chef is a Master.. Gold ⭐ Star. Plenty on my plate. Hard pushed to finish.

This restaurant/pub is very lovely with an outdoors seating that is an ideal place to bring your dog. The customers don't mind it as many do bring their dogs and the restaurant provides a water bowl.
The entire team of servers were very welcoming and friendly. They were simply impeccable.
We ordered the lamb kofta and the chicken satay (can't remember the exact name). Both were perfect on flavor and presentation.
The prices were fair for this quality food and superb service.
This lovely pub was recommended to us for a great vegan roast. And we were not disappointed! We were craving some veg after being away for a couple of nights and having mainly junk food and this was hitting just the right spot. The vegan haggis is great with lots of said veggies, roasties and gravy. The extra red cabbage was heaven too. I can only say: yummy yummy YUMMY!!! Super friendly staff too and great garden in the sun. 10/10 all around.
I love this spot for its great ambience and food. Great to sit down with some friends with a point of cider or beer and get some sun in the early evenings in summer. It's pet friendly and you get to meet many a doggo who decided to visit the place with their families.. The outdoor seating area has a few different seating concepts and heated spaces for the cosy dinners (check out their specials on the weekends). Must try their Sunday roast soon! They have a few gluten free options available; it would be nice if they introduced a few more!
Nice gastropub. Not cheap but food really good. Only minor complaints were that the mushroom gnocchi was a bit greasy and the chips were only average.
Note the website is slightly inaccurate as they no longer have a car park. They've replaced it with lots of outdoor tables, which is definitely better. The pods are particularly cool.
Free on street parking on Sundays though.
Great pub near Christchurch Park, lovely garden area in the sun, great atmosphere along with great beers.
This has been one of my favourite pubs for more years than I care to remember. The beer has always been first class, now the food is also excellent and, to top it all, the former car park has been very tastefully converted to a very pleasant al fresco experience (maybe due to the pandemic encouraging outdoor living).
All in all, a perfect pub.
