Mermaid By Marston's Inns - Ipswich - Photo album

Stayed here for five nights and cannot praise highly enough the cleanliness of the housekeeping. Rooms were attended to immaculately every day. We enjoyed the carvery on a couple of evenings and the bar on a couple more. All staff we encountered were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to plea
My sister, brother-in-law and myself came to The Mermaid today and had a carvery each – 2 x regular size; 1 x large size. Even with a drink, you're only looking at a very reasonable £10–15 each, depending on what size plate you choose. The food was wonderful. All very tasty with no complaints from
Great service, excellent food and fine value for money. A lovely touch by the chef when he came out to apologise for serving garden peas instead of mushy peas and brought a large helping of mushy peas. It was a really lovely touch for which we thanked him.
My friend and I were given a warm and friendly welcome from the member of staff as we entered and although I had booked a table she said we could sit at any table. We both had a roast and the member of staff who served us was welcoming and helpful, the selection of vegetables was very good and they
We were made very welcome by all the staff. Our orders arrived quickly after placing them at the bar. The food was faultless and very tasty indeed. An excellent service all round. Well done to all the staff who made our family lunch a very pleasurable experience.
Had a really nice experience here today. Wasn't really expecting too much, our reason for going was because my 4 year old wanted to go inside, perhaps hoping to see mermaids.... but she did get to do some Halloween stickers and the manager was really kind natured with her.
Visited on a Sunday and stayed in the hotel. Rooms were very well priced and super clean. Staff were amazing and friendly and the food excellent value.. No complaints and we will be back..
The Staff in the Mermaid are all very friendly and efficient. They give you time to decide what to order without rushing you. My only moan is, when we ordered are food: I had Gammon and chips. My friend had Carvery. We were told they would inform us when my gammon was nearly ready, so my friend coul
Popped in for an unexpected carvery at lunchtime and it was excellent quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't really say much on the atmosphere as it was a fairly quiet time of day.
Fantastic evening the staff was all lovely. Although we booked a large table and most of the party didn't turn up and the staff was fine with this and sat us on a smaller table in a nice quiet place in the pub. All the staff from last night was brilliant had a good giggle with them. Highly recommend
The food is good, and very reasonable. The staff are lovely and work extremely hard, especially Sundays.. Rooms attached are nice and comfortable. Clean and also very reasonable.
Food was good , service was excellent. Alcohol drinks very expensive, £8 for a pint of Strongbow dark fruits bit excessive. Won't be buy Alcohol again from here.
The food was great for its value and leo behind the bar was very kind and helped us with all our needs and made sure our dietary requirements were seen to.
Staff really helpful and welcoming. Food not bad either. Had a great evening and will come back again. Note when using carvery there may be a short wait for your Veggie roast alternative, if you aren't bothered then plenty of veggies to pile on plate and gravy/condiments in separate section.
