Visited the Royal George in Ipswich.
We hadn’t booked. We arrived on a Sunday evening about 5.30pm. We were greeted by staff and given the opportunity to choose where we sat in the pub.

Good food at reasonable prices. Took our two youngest granddaughters (6 &9) who finished their food in record time. Would recommend booking.
Brilliant for casual dinner or lunch. Nice place with good food. There are some good options for grilled food. We have been served quickly, prices are competitive, and the car park is right in front of the entrance.

Good steak nice sauce with lovely service team. In the modern wipe-em down quick way the table tops were sticky to touch. Cleanliness probably OK but comfort not so good. Get that right and I will gladly offer my fifth star.

Good varied menu, for all the family. I am vegan, they have several choices. I chose here as my Son likes the grill dishes and there is plenty of choice.
Went for some lunch and the breaded chicken was abit over cooked, my partner asked for fries with his meal he got chips instead and his meat was not cooked how he wanted it, maybe the chef was having a bad day?? Other than that the place seems nice inside and out seems very popular as it gets busy.
A pub I’ve visited many times and never fail to disappoint. Food is always delicious and quick to be delivered and service is always friendly.

Had my late mums wake here yesterday & couldn’t fault the food & service we received. We were made to feel very welcome.
Nothing was to much trouble, anything we needed was dealt with quickly.
