Sorell Horse

We have quite literally just got back home, after having a lovely meal. I had the Lamb and Leek Casserole, it was so lovely, it tasted like my grandma’s lamb casserole. We have never been before, but would very much recommend to other people, a very welcoming pub, and the staff were really lovely, so thankyou.

We didn't stop for the hotel but we did call ahead last minute for Sunday lunch and we we're accommodated for a party of ten straight away. A lovely family friendly warm family run pub and the food is absolutely amazing. Home cooked, hot and out in quick succession. The chips are definitely something to write home about! The prices aren't unfair for the portion sizes and it was just an all round lovely dining experience. The only thing I will point out is the staff could be a bit more welcoming. I should imagine we didn't help matters with six children in tow but initially we did feel like a bit of an inconvenience to begin with. This later subsided not entirely sure if it was us or the busy lunch hour. Other than that it's still worth a five star review just on the food and pub alone. We will be coming back, next time with slightly less people though.
