One of my favourite Suffolk pub/hotel. Always a great atmosphere and a warm welcome. Good food and ample portions. Rooms are clean and comfortable and well worth a stay here.

We have quite literally just got back home, after having a lovely meal. I had the Lamb and Leek Casserole, it was so lovely, it tasted like my grandma’s lamb casserole. We have never been before, but would very much recommend to other people, a very welcoming pub, and the staff were really lovely, so thankyou.

I went here for a Sunday lunch and I was not disappointed at all. My food was very good. It only took the starters about 7 minutes to get to the table after I ordered it. It was so nice and chill inside.

Great food, great hospitality. We stayed one night and it was very clean, pleasant and a great atmosphere. Included breakfast was delicious and last nights tea was tasty too. Would highly recommend

Although not staying, met up with friends who were and we ate together. Steak and Ale Pie was a proper pie, not a stew with a crust floating on top, nice shortcrust pastry. Nice beer too

First time here and certainly won’t be my last. I honestly think that was the best steak i’ve ever had in my life! Not to mention the amazing service and lovely staff.

We didn't stop for the hotel but we did call ahead last minute for Sunday lunch and we we're accommodated for a party of ten straight away.
A lovely family friendly warm family run pub and the food is absolutely amazing. Home cooked, hot and out in quick succession. The chips are definitely something to write home about! The prices aren't unfair for the portion sizes and it was just an all round lovely dining experience.
The only thing I will point out is the staff could be a bit more welcoming. I should imagine we didn't help matters with six children in tow but initially we did feel like a bit of an inconvenience to begin with. This later subsided not entirely sure if it was us or the busy lunch hour.
Other than that it's still worth a five star review just on the food and pub alone. We will be coming back, next time with slightly less people though.

Booked last minute for a large party on a Sunday, lovely food, quick and efficient service. Nice park outside for the kids too.

We went for lunch. We were part of a large party. We were late for our booking, so after the busy period. The food was lovely. I had the lamb hotpot and my husband had the pork goulash. However the service was slow. It took 45mins from ordering to food being served.
