I’ve had a few curry’s in Hungry Horse’s and the last few have been awful.
I thought I’d chance it again and I’m so glad I did. The curry was hot and plenty of chicken and sauce and the chips hot and rice cooked well.

Value for money with delicious tasty food. It's clean, welcoming, great choices for drinks, staff are efficient and polite. Comfy atmosphere.
Went for breakfast with a friend. There was a 2 for 1 offer on the traditional breakfast which we both had. It was great value for money (£4.29 for both) and with a half pint of orange juice and a hot chocolate the bill came to a little over £10.
We had a party of 12 for a birthday yesterday. Staff and service were great. Food we had was lovely. Only negative we had was the non gluten containing menu. We were told it’s not a gluten free menu it just has non gluten containing foods. We wanted a sandwich which was showing on menu but apparently it’s not on gluten free bread. Other than that we had no problems. The New Manager was so attentive.
7 of us only went in for a coffee after a funeral, we looked at the menu and all decided that we were hungry, so ordered a meal each, and we were all happy with our choices. Lovely food well presented and value for money, thank you.
I went for lunch today and it was very busy. However, the food came out piping hot still and we didn’t have to wait long at all for food to arrive.
Nice chilled atmosphere, even though it was busy, We didn’t have to wait too long to get served either.
I met the manager today, Stewart. He was the one that served me, and he was so polite and informative.

Lovely food, friendly staff and a good price. I believe new owners have taken over and the seats are much nicer/newer and the eating areas seem nice and clean. Will be back again soon.
Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Helped me use my vouchers. Food was expected. No complaints. 3 children a 2 adults with drinks. All fed a watered for £45 and less with my tesco points.
Fantastic Easter breakfast, even had a visit from the Easter bunny and received an egg for my 3year old. Great service all round and great food.
Restraint was also very clean and tidy, hats off to all staff for a great outing.
Our party of 17 called without a booking on the 20th at 7pm. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us. He was very welcoming and the food was great value. The service considering the number in our party again we couldn't fault.
Having been turned away from several other well known establishments, you saved our evening.

Friendly manager. Ideal for families with children. Popped in for lunch with husband and daughter and grandson. Lunch was very reasonably priced. Welcomed by manager upon arrival. All other staff, friendly too. A lot better than going to the Raven nearby!

Visited today 24.04.24, was pleasantly surprised with everything the pub had to offer. Very friendly staff and a warm welcome. Food was really good too!! Will definitely be visiting again. 😊
Had a lovely meal with my friend and our 3 kids. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely time and we will return.
This is our second time visiting the thrasher in Ipswich and it did not disappoint.
We choose the Sunday deal that was £12.99 for two mix ups (there was other options but I love a mix up) and two for £4 Non alcoholic ciders (huge amount of drink in comparison to a £2.90 coke).
Service was really good, everything ordered and paid for through the Greene King app - really recommend easy to use and pay electronically. This way you can leave when you want without hanging around for the bill and feeing you have to tip. I would have tipped our server she was great, sorry I don’t know the name.

We was disappointed that there was no Sunday roast available.
Toilet facilitates were clean and well looked after.
Lovely pub we will continue to visit for a nice reasonably priced mea out.
