The Niche Restuarant

I came to The Niche as part of a booking for 7 people to celebrate my 26th birthday. I have recently moved to Irvine and this was the first time I got to show off the local restaurants to my parents and I was chuffed to bits with the experience we all received. Our table was perfect for us and we were all made to feel very comfortable. The food was utterly faultless; absolutely piping hot and everyone’s individual order was perfect. I had the salt and chilli bao buns and I think it was genuinely one of the best meals out I have ever had. I suspect I will become a regular just for this. The staff very kindly also surprised me with dessert and a most impressive sparkler to mark my birthday which was most kind indeed and was the cherry on top of a fab evening. I cannot wait to find an excuse to return as soon as possible.

The Niche Restaurant is what it says on the tin - some really weird combinations that only a small niche of people would attempt! However, most definitely should push themselves to try these weird combinations. An example being haggis spring roll with Irn Bru mayonnaise. Sounds disgusting right? Far from it however! The staff were nice enough, atmosphere and look of the restaurant was fantastic. The burgers are in the top 10 in Scotland and you can tell why - I wouldn’t say the actual patties themselves are ground breaking but bun, salad, and tomatoes were out of this world. Very fresh and tasty! Definitely come here and become the select few niche enough to try these crazy combinations!
