Great castle loaded with history and stunning views. There's some work being done on it at the moment, but it doesn't spoil anything. Lovely little cafe for after your walk. Go and have a look at more than 500 years of history.

Such a lonely little privately run family castle with lots of bits of history; island, castle and family. The upper most floor is via a very narrow spiral staircase so not too friendly to the less mobile persons however there is a film showing all upstairs exhibits. Lovely little tea room and shop opposite for a nice cuppa and a cake before and/or after.

Five stars for the views, location, and super friendly staff. The road to the castle is narrow, but it has multiple wider spots to let oncoming traffic pass. They have a very nice Cafe for great lunches.

Lovely place to explore. Staff were kind and friendly, ticket prices are very reasonable and the castle is full of interesting facts and history. The view from the top is spectacular!

Such a fun experience! This castle is from the 14th century and I arrived early, so barely anyone was there. I could take my time exploring and buy a ticket right on the spot. Absolutely gorgeous! The tour guides love history, shared stories with me, and even made other recommendations of places to see on my trip.

Took a wee trip to Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull - the setting's like a postcard with the castle by the sea. Getting there's a bit of a squeeze, narrow road and all, but the parking's decent once you're there. Ticket prices weren't too bad - £9.50 for the adults, £5.50 for the old folks and the same for kids. Didn't get around to exploring the castle interior (blame it on the ferry schedule) but made the most of the tea rooms. Nice spot with fair prices. Plus, the location's a dream for anyone who likes a good walk. You can wander down to the sea, or check out the tiny Millennium Park. It's this cool, shaded spot with benches - a real treat in the summer heat. We spotted a herd of cows on our way. If you're waiting for the ferry, this place is worth the detour. Would recommend it to anyone passing by, just make sure you've got a bit of time to spare.

A must visit place, with lots of interesting history. Fantastic views from the battlements. Met the Chief of the McLean clan, a friendly and gracious gentleman who still lives in part of the castle, which has had extensive and sensitive restoration. There is also a tearoom on site in a separate building which has fantastic home-made cakes.

Historic Scottish Castle. Intriguing events took place around here on the Isle of Mull, which somehow influenced European and North American history. Suggest to visit the nearby cemetery. There are connections between those graves, the events, and the castle.

This was a lovely castle with some incredible views here. I really enjoyed walking through and seeing the history, and also knowing that the original family still lives here. The price is very reasonable and it is in a gorgeous location. They also have a nice tea shop where you can stop and get something and sit outside.

Superb looking castle with a rich history and many artifacts to look at. The castle is open from the dungeons to the ramparts, except from some private residence. The current clan chief lives in it and was an excellent host.
