This well decorated cafe delivers great food!
So I've been looking for somewhere on the island with a modest price. This comes close but it's still a little pricey for me. Currently it's summer, ice cream milkshakes, I had one and it was really good but I felt I paid a little much for the amount I got. I stayed a while to do some work. WiFi is not available here, I'm not sure how they would feel about you plugging in your laptop here either. However the service is good. This was confirmed when the cook came out of the kitchen to ask a diner if they were allergic to something she said she didn't want with her order, just to check if contact tracing would end in disaster, top marks for customer care. Tongue in cheek front of house staff have a great sense of Irish humour. I believe it's an Irish family running the café.
While waiting for your order there's plenty to see, lots of local art and other nice decorations dotted around the cafe. It feels well put together.
The Kavorna burger was absolutely delicious. Without a doubt the best burger I've had in a long time. It doesn't try to do anything overtly fancy but you wouldn't want it to. It does an outstanding job of exciting the taste buds. This well justifies the price and it feels great value.
A superb café both for food, friendly staff and atmosphere. Called in before heading home. Managed to get a table. Coffee and tea are very good. The food was excellent. Had the crispy chicken wings with BBQ sauce and chips, gluten free, that were some of the best I've ever had! Also has a fish finger sandwich and, yes, they were home made. Again excellent. We actually got a take away a couple of nights before that was excellent but think they've now stopped that out of season. Great!
Lovely cafe. Very friendly staff and great pasties and cakes. Even welcomed me in dripping wet after walking the garrison walls in horrendous weather. Great atmosphere and a lot of locals too, which is always a good sign.
