Tamarind

The best Indian meal ever! We were visiting st Helier and as we always do we thought we would go for an Indian curry. Went on a Tuesday evening so it was quiet in the restaurant. The service was excellent. We chose Chicken tikka with a masala sauce and mushroom rice. It was all freshly cooked. It was amazingly tasty. Nicely presented. We have an Indian meal every week and live in an area of England where some of the best curry houses are but no where as nice as the food we had here at the tamarind. we Would definitely recommend this place.

Two recent experiences: In-restaurant, we were the only people dining one Tuesday evening. The food was tasty and the service was prompt but the waiter was a strange combination of over-attentive but glum. Take-away: the food arrived faster than expected and although it was tasty it was in need of a bit more salt and was not really a "wow". So, "boring but reliable" might be accurate overall

Lovely food and very friendly service. Wide range of options for food too and servers couldn't do enough for you. Only thing I would say is that when we arrived it was really quiet with just one other quite rowdy group in. As a couple looking for a romantic meal we would have preferred to be seated away from the crowd, and not right next to them! Perhaps consider seating arrangements for clientele.
