It was late evening when I visited, after a concert, and although busy, service was much much slower than I would have expected.
Given the delay, I was less inclined to make allowances for the quality of what is usually termed "fast food".
I can't help thinking that the decline in standards and speed across this and other outlets, is linked to the ever increasing range of dishes served.
It even makes it harder to select from the bewildering combination of meals offered, unless perhaps one was a more frequent visitor.
The shop was very crowded and I waited for a long time for getting my order. Most of them were not wearing a mask while waiting for their orders. The authorities should keep this thing in check as negligence like this can cause another Covid-19 outbreak. Other things were fine and the seating area was very clean.
Fast and great service and on a nice day you can eat it by the lake
Hot food, know what you're getting, easy to order. Long queue..it was a busy Sunday at the the service station. Plenty of seating & a nice view out the window onto the hills.
Polite and quick as a McDonald's should be. Lovely eating area outside if the weather permits. I usually stop here
Stopped for the advertised cool Raspberry drink, but of course, it was not available. So, I got an ice latte instead, but it tasted like it had vanilla in it, which I didn't ask for, or particularly like a it made it too sweet.
MacD at a service station, food being prepared by an army of staff, lets the system down when only one person is issuing the order. (Was 15 orders waiting to be served, food was cooked fresh and ready quickly, but being given to customer SLOW)
There are a range of food outlets at this motorway services stopover. We chose a lunch at the cornish pasty outlet but there was also a Costa Coffee as well as the Macdonalds and W H Smiths. . Indoor and outdoor seating by a small loch with a walk and lovely views. Toilets were accessible and clean. Car park was quite busy.
The store was about to close. But they were very considerate. They took our order. Such helpful people are rare.
It's McDonald's lol. Usual fare, usual waiting time as it was very busy, only gripe was no receipt from touch screen ordering and it didn't tell us our order number so we had to ask at the till when we could get someone's attention🙄
