Some delicatessens just get the flavours and quality absolutely perfect, and Hunters is one of them. Top quality stuff. Pork & Marmalade sausage roll was the best flavour combination I've ever had. Also bought Scotch Eggs with Haggis, which was very delicious. Really enjoyed them. Just looking at all the other delicatessen items and the fine display of prepared meats tells you how good they are. Staff are friendly and attentive. If you are in Kelso and fancy a scrumptious bite, you need to go here.

What an amazing little place! We truly felt like we were having lunch in France😂 authentic and imaginative menu with something for everyone. I wish I could have tried everything. And the desserts were to die for. To top it off all the staff were super friendly and attentive, especially the women with the red hair (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) you really made us feel special and looked after. We can't wait to come back, thankyou!

a perfect place in the borders - it reminded me of Little Paris in borders , just an hours drive from Edinburgh ... simply perfect .. the food the coffee everything just right , the ambience and staff are great too . the Butchery counter is beautiful , great place to take things away with for the night in...

Everything I've ever tried from this butchers has been off the highest quality. The meats and sausages are excellent and the savoury items are amazing. The scotch eggs are fantastic with runny golden yolks encased in a huge amount of meat. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Very highly rated!

I was visiting here so just want to say this is the best butchers I have ever been to and I live in Wales so we have good ones here. Was tempted by the steak but had to resist as forgot my debit card Bought a tasty sausage roll for my journey home including some haggis My partner said it was the best he had ever tasted that much that he would travel the 4 hours to buy it :) Well done to you all Kelso is very lucky to have you there 😊

Oh my goodness! We called into the restaurant for lunch on our way home to York from Scotland. I couldn’t make my mind up but eventually chose Wild boar cross pork chop and decided to buy the sausages from the adjacent butcher to take home. I also bought haggis, eggs, potato cakes & huge salmon fish cakes! We’ve just eaten the amazing Cumberland sausages with the delicious fresh eggs & enjoyed the fish cakes yesterday! I can not fault a thing. The chop was the best pork in my life! We will definitely stock up again next time. Lovely staff, gorgeous presentation & amazingly fabulous food!

The food, the staff, the service and the overall bistro is full of quality, care and dedication. I visited here for lunch and the food was out of this world. My visit was made even better by the friendly care and welcoming that all the staff give their customers. This place is a rare find and just exquisite. Sometimes, just occasionally you stumble across a place that gladdens your heart and this which Elaine and I found today did just that. A brilliant butcher but the icing on the cake is the deli next door. Perfect ambience, perfect service and wonderful cakes coffee and tea. Fully licensed, they also have a fantastic and imaginative main meal menu with daily specials. I simply could not praise highly enough; this place sets the bar on all parameters of excellence. Congratulations guys you’ve got it👍
