I have been going to Charlie's for a long time it will always be my favourite cafe in kendal the food is beautiful and the ladies are lovely, never had a bad meal and there's something for everyone xxxx

I had a lovely Birthday breakfast there today with family and everything was cooked to Perfection. Will definitely be going back for more very soon �

The burgers were amazing, staff were lovely and the kids meal was good value and they used proper ham too in the kids sandwiches and not just cheap ham! The only suggestion I'd make though would be to make their own skin on fries to go with the burgers as the cheap frozen fries are the only thing that let it down slightly. I'd definitely go back again though because it was still a lovely meal.

Lovely cafe. We visited this week on holiday with our toddler and the staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating - entertainment bag, child’s cutlery and drink bottles etc. Sadly our little one was rather poorly so we had to cut the visit short and run, but if we were local we’d definitely be regular visitors

Lovey staff couldn’t be nicer. Food gorgeous and the cakes were amazing. Thanks for a lovely welcome to your coffee bar. Also took some cakes away they were that good. Will definitely return.

This was my second breakfast visit to this cafe over the last few months and I have to say it was just as lovely the second time as the first. The staff are very pleasant, the fabulous old building makes it feel cosy, the food is excellent and good value for money. My only gripe was that the scrambled egg was more like creamy mash than egg and a bit too sickly for me but next time I'll have fried or poached, problem solved.

Staff were so polite and the good was lovely. We were even asked if we would like our child's meal first and we said whatever was easier. The young lady brought it out first so it could cool for him. So thoughtful.

Love coming here when in Kendal, Soup and Gateaux every time. All home made in wonderful historic surroundings with some very interesting historic facts. But those you will need to discover yourself.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat with our dog, we were recommended to Charlie’s from the dog shop on the square. We have been in the lakes for a few days and this was the best meal by far, home cooked beautiful food! Staff we’re amazingly friendly and catered for our pug with water and biscuits and lots of fuss! Highly recommend this place and we will be coming again when we are back in the area. Thank you for a fantastic lunch 👌🏻
