It was just so nice and quiet the room was amazing. The food in the restaurant was out of this world. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Lovely base to explore the lakes from. Cannot wait to visit again

Got a quick bite here after we were picked up from the train station near by. The food was wonderful! Exactly what you would expect from an English pub and then some. I had the duck and was not disappointed. Was it the best duck in the world, probably not. But did it fill my craving that I've had since living in France and moving to Costa Rica, absolutely. The bangers and mash were also delicious. My partner got it and the bangers they used had a wonderful anise/licorice note that was very pleasant. All in all, loved it and would return.

After disappointing food and service in the past we are very pleased to say we had a most delicious Sunday Roast today. Wine and beer was of excellent quality. The service from our young waitress was so nice, she was pleasant and did everything to make our visit pleasurable.

Went for lunch midweek. Had looked online at the menu before going and was expecting around £15 per main but when we arrived we were given an extra lunchtime menu at around £8.50-£9 and only £3 to add a starter or a dessert. Limited choice but good value - you can still order from the full menu at full price if there's nothing on the lunchtime one. Food was fairly good, typical pub food, acceptable for that price but not spectacular. One small point, too much salt on the chips and fries - it seems to be the thing everywhere now. I am sure most people would prefer to add their own (or not). Plenty of room inside with tables available outside too but not much shade. Good friendly service. Would happily go again.

Long journey to Scotland beautiful evening so looking for a pub enroute rather than a service station. (off at Junction 36 back north Junction 37) Found the perfect place atThe Station Inn 👍 Beth at the bar was very welcoming and friendly great advice regarding the food and drinks. So nice to see a different menu and excellent value. Bonus chatting to the chef as we were leaving... Secret of the yummy chunky chicken kebabs good marinate, hot hot heat and make sure they reach 37degrees. Big thanks to all the staff for such a great vibe, just wish we could have stayed for the quiz 😊😊

This is a destination not to be missed when you visit Kendal! My experience was absolutely awesome, the food is amazing and fresh cooked to order, and the decor and atmosphere was about as authentic as it gets. The staff was super accommodating for our late arrival from the USA fr two starving and sleep deprived Americans who arrived after the kitchen had closed Kudos to Steve for making the end of a very long travel day a refreshing experience and welcome to the area.

Had a lovely bank holiday meal with partner who lives nearby. We had the fish pie and veggie pie option. The veg was beautiful and fresh and we had a lovely whit wine to go with it. Service great and friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Will return for drinks if not eating but will definitely eat here again 👍

With very friendly staff and a good selection of drinks the Station Inn is a great spot to have a drink or an evening meal. Myself and my partner had starters and a main course each. The portion sizes is fantastic I had the fish and chips which was fantastic my partner had the steak, which to was great. We will definitely be visiting again!
