I stayed here in my Motorhome as they have a field at the back for stop overs. Great staff and food was amazing. I have a large 8 meter motorhome, also my mum was staying over in a 6.5 meter motorhome too. Very accommodating and polite

Late stop off in the campervan, owners very friendly and helpful. Arriving late we missed the food but pub had a nice atmosphere and was dog friendly too.
Park up at the top carpark was ideal for the camper with a field next to it for dog walk. The road next to the carpark was very quiet during the night too. Ideal stop over if touring the lake district

First visit for food since the new owners have taken over.
All can say is what a super choice ,great prices & we really enjoyed our meals.
Great staff especially from Sam, and a proper local country pub atmosphere.
Will definitely be returning.

Great location at Southern end of Lake District, a few minutes walk from train and bus, so great for a day out on public transport avoiding driving in traffic jams. Good to start the afternoon with a tasty pint in bar. Lovely clean, spacious, comfy room. Very friendly staff for both humans and dogs. Husband very happy with his Cumberland swirl on his brekkie. Absolutely brilliant stay here. Food was excellent and so was the breakfasts. Room we stayed in was big with everything you needed. Very well layed out and nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and welcoming to our yappy little dog. Definitely stay again

First visit for a couple of years. Good friendly service. Sat outside, lots of tables and some play apparatus. Round was a bit pricey at £20 for two beers two soft drinks and some crisps

Great food & good selection of choice. Loved eating here whilst we were away in the lakes. Friendly staff which were very welcoming. Would recommend!

My partner and I are Vegan and Vegetarian and came for the hanging kebabs. We got the halloumi and vegan meatballs hanging kebabs and they were absolutely amazing. They came with fries, wraps, side salad, tzatziki, hummus and each item was lovely. Comparable to The Botanist hanging kebabs. Delightful atmosphere and very clean. Highly recommend.

We had the best time. We took our dog Ruby for 2 nights. The room had just been renovated and looked amazing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and worked so hard. The food was delicious and the location (5 mins walk from the station) was ideal. We really appreciated that the staff went above and beyond.

A great establishment with an excellent food service. The staff members were very helpful. The food was so fresh and tasty both in the evening and morning breakfast. I was worried about the noise but the rooms were in the separate building. The best memories from the Lake District.
