Had looked before but wasn't keen on the menu. Someone mentioned it had a new menu so we went for my husbands birthday.
It was packed so we did have to wait a while for drinks and food but once it came it was delicious , hot and tasty. What more can you ask for.
We had starters and a pasta Main for husband and a proper homemade lasagne for myself.
We saw the Fillet steak being served to the next table and will be having that next time.
We will definitely be making a return visit.
5 star+ the staff very friendly and accommodating, the food was amazing. We had lasagne, pizza and beef stroganoff. Cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Dog friendly too!
The food was delicious and plentiful. Very pleasant surprise at the bill too, very reasonable. Amazing value. The staff were absolutely lovely. Good selection at the menu. I would highly recommend going if you’re in Kendal.
Excellent food, the pizzas were spot on and a good price, varied selection. Drinks were expensive but again a good selection and high quality. The welcome was not over friendly, but the waiter who took the order was ultimately helpful. Overall a positive experience, but could be even better

got take out, one pizza and one garlic bread with cheese pizza type. very yummy!! stone baked, a lot of sauce cheese could be more even but it was yummy. besides the pizza wasn’t cut up, it was just whole. and it was a takeout so i actually ate in the car, very hard without it being cut!!
If you visited this restaurant as Gianni's and are expecting the same kind of experience and the same quality of food, then think again! Big improvements have been made.
Sapore is a wonderful place to eat - great service, lots of choice, and delicious food. This is the only place in the UK I've seen that does carbonara authentically (no cream! Served with guanciale instead of just bacon), and one of the few places that serve fresh pasta. The risotto was excellent; strongly flavoured, rich, and a much bigger portion than it first appears. For the lunch time price of £8.95, these menu items were a steal, but they would be well worth the full evening prices as well.
We missed out on the desserts this time, but we won't on our next visit!
Lovely restaurant, very polite staff. Garlic bread was missed off my order but they quickly brought one to the table. Will definitely come back to eat again.
Exceptional food. Could not fault anything we had on the menu.portion size perfect for 2. The ox cheek and monkfish cheek popcorn amazing flavour. Pizza made by Italian chefs the best we have had. Also recommend the ham cheese croquettes and the carbonara croquettes. Prices very good and wine and beers really good prices. Excellent comfortable and will be returning this week.
