Thought I'd share my Trip Advisor review on the Facebook page too!
We have visited The Waterfront Restaurants many many times before but this was our first visit since the big refurb. Wow, what a difference. It's bigger, it's brighter, it's more modern, the views are beautiful, but one thing that has stayed the same is the quality of food.
We were welcomed by Heather, the owner, and shown our seats. Orders were taken, drinks and food were served. My husband had the crayfish salad for starter. Delicious. It was served with 4 wee bits of bread and butter too. For main course we both had fish. His was grilled, so had no batter, mine was lightly battered and oh my goodness, the fish were enormous! The chips were fresh and plentiful and the garden peas were.....green! Absolutely delicious. Even though I was completely stuffed, I still managed (and always will), found room for the Creme Brulee, served with homemade shortbread. A trip to the Waterfront is never complete without Creme Brulee. It is the BEST.
We have eaten in all the restaurants in the Kenmore area and this is by far the best. Cannot recommend highly enough.
P.S. Often best to book!
Superb black pudding and goat’s cheese starter followed by an even better dish. Haunch of venison cooked to perfection. The service from young waitress Iona was also excellent.
Treated ourselves to a nice meal at the Waterfront.
It was wise to book a table as the restaurant was fully booked on arrival, but remained manageable for the staff as not all tables had diners.
We had Beef Stroganoff, Highland Chicken, and Sticky toffee pudding which were all tasty. Portion size just perfect.
We will certainly be back when in the area. (Usually add photos but didn't take any on this occasion)
Very good food - a must try is the smoked salmon and crayfish starter and from mains the beef stroganoff and the sirloin steak. We went to the restaurant two days in a row and I'm glad we did! Lovely service (helpful and smiling), amazing atmosphere and I imagine that the lake view in the daylight must be wonderful.
Really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. We booked last minute and they got us a table. The food was lovely and the service was very attentive without being overbearing. After the meal there was live music which was really enjoyable.
Attentive and friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant is situated on the River Tay with a wonderful view. I ordered the venison loin which was cooked well and the creamed potatoes were delicious. However a dish like that lives and dies by the sauce and unfortunately the bacon jus let the dish down.
Friendly service from busy staff. My sausage and mash with onion gravy was the one to go for. But others enjoyed their choices too. Croque monsieur was not too authentic though - more a toasted cheese and ham sandwich.
Foods ok but a change to the menu would perhaps be of more interest to returning customers, I don't like the constant patroling of the dining area by the staff.
Fabulous food, well prepared and presented. Magnificent views and very relaxing atmosphere.
Highly recommended 👍
Dropped in for dinner while staying at the Kenmore Club. Didn't expect anything wonderful but it's actually really good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff too. We both had the fish and chips which was grand.
Great quality food, the venison was fantastic
Beautiful food and location. The views across the Loch are unforgettable. Very welcoming staff. Ate here twice while staying in Kenmore
