Food was good, service was nice but I find all the staff wearing masks off-putting when communicating. I expect to see masks in a medical setting not going out for a brunch! I will happily visit again once the masks come off.

Excellent as ever. Always such good food and drinks for good prices. We sat outside with the dogs under cover, service was friendly and quick. Support a local business by visiting Williams & Thomas. Photo is of their summer 2022 menu.

Delightful little hidden gem in Ashford! We had the savoury tea and the halloumi and honey toastie - both highly recommended and a big fan of the homemade chutney. Will absolutely be returning!

Our second visit, and the food was just as good as the first time. My husband had the cheese & caramelised onion tart, followed by pear and chocolate tart. I had a gruyere and onion toastie on gluten-free sourdough bread, followed by the most delicious rose, raspberry and pistachio ice-cream. We both drank apple, elderflower & mint cordial. The surroundings were spotless, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the toilets (according to my husband) were extremely clean. Takeaway food is also available. Cannot recommend this place highly enough - if you want good food, go and visit.

We were a party of four and tried quite a few of the items on the menu. These included various types of tea and coffee, a variety of special cakes and toasted sandwiches. Everything was excellent. I especially enjoyed the toasties which all had unusual combinations of delicious fillings. The surroundings are very pleasant and service was efficient and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again.

My wife and I came here a couple of days ago because she saw all the reviews on trip advisor. Don’t expect something this good in what seems like suburbia. Anyway the light lunch options are very tasty, had the cold chicken with cold Italian pasta salad and it was very yummy and cheap at £6. However it’s the cake I guess people come here for and that didn’t disappoint. Peach Melba was fantastic, pink lemonade cake a bit sweet for me and knew I should’ve had the layered lemon cake. And the Assam tea was just delightful and wife’s coffee was excellent for cafetiere and she got her liquid pouring cream on the side. Definitely you should go but be beware of parking. Either on the main road where the cafe is and mount the kerb and hope trucks vans going past miss you or else park in a side street and walk 200 metres.
