I am giving Punjab Sweets a 1 star because the Shahi Paneer and Kofta that we ordered was inedible. Both reeked of butter and floated in it, and there was no flavor in either dishes and we had to just throw it away to our utter dismay as we don’t take throwing away food lightly. It’s outrageous that they served that in the name of food and we’ve never had anything like that in our 23 years of eating out in Seattle. The samosa chaat we ordered was good. We went there especially to pick up samosas to take to a party and samosa chaat for ourselves. The jalebis were decent too. But the entrees have left us skeptical if we’ll ever go back there ever again.

Looks like I am not the only who had a one of kind experience at this place. The food and sweets quality has always been average but since Seattle area doesn't have many choices, we decided to give it another try after 4 years. They don't let you enter the store. They keep a stool in between while talking and will place it on your toe aggressively (cautious warning). The older woman there (owner/manager) has a ridiculous attitude. She yells at her clients. Obnoxiously rude. I double checked my order and her response was "I will give you exactly what you asked for". I would have walked off if I wouldn't have paid $30 for 1 small box of sweets. The QR code menu doesn't have the prices. Her attitude was same for other clients too. She is either going through mental health issues or meno pause or personal issues but who isn't. Just don't mess up with people who give you your livelihood.

Just called to clarify their hours of operation: open 1-7pm, last order is at 6pm Wed-Sun. I don't understand why they aren't up front about this. Needlessly confusing. Used to get food from here often pre-pandemic and the food was really good -- all-vegetarian Punjabi food with a home-cooked feel is hard to find, and Punjab Sweets does it well.

Despite all the bad reviews, I went here with my sister with less than 30 minutes til they closed and was greeted by a young woman (who’s name we didn’t get) who was so nice and friendly to us. The food we ordered via curbside delivery (due to Covid) did not take long before it was ready and it was extremely delicious. Even on day 3 after being warmed up! 😆we each ordered the samosa chaat and aloo gobi. While we didn’t expect the samosas in the samosa chaat dish to be so drenched, it was still so good and flavorful. Every bite had a really nice kick of spice. I’d definitely come back to eat here.

I'm really sad to be giving this review. We've been going to Punjab sweets for years now (maybe close to a decade?). We drive up once a year from Oregon to stock up on sweets for an event I host. I'm not sure what's going on but yesterday's trip required me to place my order three times. I chose to order over the phone because I needed specific items and didn't want to risk substitutes (based on something I read). From what I read on the website and at the store, it seems they prefer you to order online and then call to confirm receipt of order? Anyway. We ordered via the phone once I was en route and said our eta for pick up would be 5pm. I gave my name and phone number. I was not asked to pay upfront; I would have. Maybe this was the issue. We arrived at the store and there was no record of my order. I had to place it again and wait for it to prep (timing is tight when you're driving up and back in one day). Nevertheless, ordered again and waited. Paid. The sweets here are immaculate. Or, rather, historically they have been. And mostly they still were. However we tried the khoya barfi (maybe I should have checked quality to have addressed right away but I've never had cause for concern before) and it was completely sugar less. Or that's what it tasted like. They also didn't taste fresh and the texture was off. I'll try to find an alternative solution for next time or I'll check the quality to have addressed right away. The service was always great pre-pandemic, but last year and now this year as well, we've had issues and it makes me hesitant to return. Knocked off one star each for the quality of barfi and the service, though I feel like I could knock off 2 stars at least for the barfi alone. 😔 (Everything else we got was great though and always has been. I've never enjoyed the rasgullah here or the Chum Chum. I tried the Chum Chum again and was equally disappointed.)

You can only online and then you wait for 20-30 minutes on a weekday to get the order. The pista burfi has a stale ghee flavor and you cannot try it or get smaller quantity to buy. It was recommended by some friends so we had high hopes but not worth the long drive.

THE OLD LADY IS SO RUDE! I had a horrible experience when I visited this restaurant with my mom. The old lady seems to have mental health problems and it all showed when she insulted my mother completely unexpected. If my mother wasn’t so nice, I would have canceled the order right then and there. Who lets a women like this run this place??
