Very clean rooms, very friendly staff, great location, and very dog friendly and our dogs got fussed over a lot! Food was fabulous, and just all around excellent value for money.
Would definitely would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel in a great location right on the lake side . Bus stops just outside , you can cross a bridge at the end of the gardens to catch the lake cruise. Lots of walking trails from the hotel and only a few miles to the centre of keswick. Great little pub inside and lovely staff and breakfast

Stayed here for a long weekend recently and it was fantastic. Staff are all so friendly and helpful - an absolute credit to whoever trains/guides them all.
The hotel itself is ideally situated for walks and has it's own jetty area, with regular ferry trips to Keswick.
The food is excellent too. We had breakfast included, but decided to have an evening meal on couple of occasions and both times were delicious. Large portions and all freshly cooked, also reasonably priced.
Highly recommend a stay here, if visiting the lakes.

Just home from a 2 night stay.
Fabulous room, newly refurbished 3 weeks ago… very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Scott and the team. A much needed break, and the views from the restaurant were very relaxing.
We will be back for another visit.

We stayed 2 nights in a Standard Double Room with breakfast included for a good price. The room was a decent size with a lovely view of Derwentwater and Catbells.
This is a dog friendly hotel but unfortunately our neighboughs were not able to keep there pet at bay an woke us several times during the night.
The staff are friendly and attentive.
The food and service here is excellent but I would say it is very over priced.
The wifi is abysmal an regularly cuts out! There is no phone service in this area but if you're looking to disconnect for a few days then maybe this is ideal for you.
Apart from the slight negatives I would stay here again for the location.

The Mary mount hotel is at a perfect location around Derwentwater, close to a lot of hiking routes and bus links.
Room was big and clean. The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning. The restaurant serves really good food with a decent vegan/vegetarian selection. Staff is friendly and ready to go out of their way to accommodate you.
We plan to come back for our next trip to the Lake District! 😊

Lovely very dog friendly hotel - stayed in bungalow annexe which great to nip out on garden if needed in night with dog. Bedrooms very clean.
Mum stayed in room in hotel, it had lovely views over fells and lake.
Breakfast was great with sausages for dogs!
Dinner at night bit pricey but portions were huge so we had starters and pudding.
Nice cosy bar - staff all lovely.
Will definately be returning.

Stopped for Sunday lunch whilst on a flying visit to Keswick, the food was lovely, I guess my only moan would be that it was £25 for Sunday lunch, which equated to a small lamb shank, 2 roast potatoes, 2 roasted carrots, 2 roasted parsnips, some red cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding (spelt yourshire pudding). I just think it was overpriced.

Provided a much needed & appreciated pit stop during a walk round the lake. The food was delicious with very generous portions & we were able to eat amidst a stunning backdrop. The only minor downside is that the drinks weren't great - the pepsi/coke was completely flat and warm

Stayed here one night in a dog friendly room.
The location of this hotel is perfect, the views are unbelievable and the hotel literally backs onto Derwent Water so loads of walks on the door step.
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly, however the room was relatively small (considering it was a dog friendly room - would not advise bringing a big dog)
The only negative would be the food, the prices were quite high and the food itself wasn’t very tasty however definitely tolerable.
We would return here and can imagine in the summer months it would be even better.
