A great find at the end of a walk round Titchmarsh Nature Reserve. The staff are friendly and cheery The bar is actually the rear of the building and the village grocers! Veritably charming to be able to browse the small shop and fresh local produce and order a drink and food too! Good choices and made to order so expect to wait for service at the bar and it arrives not too fast or slow. Outside seating and not allowed indoors currently Masks needed inside.

Out for a beautiful walk Titchmarsh, Sudborough, Lowick, Islip. Stopped for a welcome pint locally brewed beer ( Oundle) at the Rose and Crown, Islip . We were made very welcome by the friendly staff and sat in their peaceful garden - they double up as Village Grocer too - the heart of the community. Would definitely recommend

Called in for Coffee & cake - all was perfect. Very welcoming staff & the home made cake was amazing. Coffee was large & lovely - so had two more! Would go again. I was speaking to people that said that Mark & Rachel have really had to diversify during covid & it shows - the pub is still has a welcoming bar, plus a village shop plus a cafe & apparently the home made bread is something else. Great to hear that these guys have been prepared to to change with the times without losing any of the charm of the place. Well done. And to all my cycling friends out there - it would be a great place to stop off with additional seating outside if required
