Mcdonald's

Went in to McDonalds in Kettering Sunday evening. There was a problem with the self service payments but the staff were really helpful and the service very fast. The customer service was excellent and there was a sense that the staff were working well together. Have never left a review for a McDonalds, but this positive experience was worth commenting on.

Giving a McDonald's five stars feels strange. Did I love it? Not particularly. Did my five year old wear me down with incessant requests? Almost certainly, and that applies to whichever visit really because this is located right by the park, making it a convenient toilet stop and tantrum trigger. The staff are polite and frankly, one woman who works here is basically a Saint in terms of patience levels for noisy children, so that's a bonus. If you have kids and are concerned about them causing a ruckus anywhere you go, I would recommend this Mcdondalds because they seem to understand that they are catering to a bunch of tired kids from the park, and they have accepted their lot.

Usually on top form menu wise, with the usual offerings; BUT have to give my opinion on the McSpicy... 🤢, sorry McDonald's this is a no no, 1st guilty again of overselling the presentation, looks nothing like on the TV, 2nd, resembles something I'd get 4 of in a box from a Freezer store, 3rd over spiced in taste..... its just awful, and if I want to give it the Coup de tat.... it really is a poor man's version of a Zinger tbh. Get it off the menu and in the bin where it belongs.

The layout of this restaurant is quite cramped. We placed an order at the touch screens and didn't really have anywhere to stand to wait for our food. We found ourselves standing right next to people sitting down eating. It was a little uncomfortable. There is a huge pillar in the middle of the room which takes up quite a lot of space and an area for staff which was cordoned off. Would recommend putting the staff area somewhere else so customers have somewhere to stand and wait. Food was good as you would expect from McDonald's
